I estimate that if we rendezvous in Pasadena, at 6pm, we could grab a bite to eat there, and allow the Friday night traffic to work its way down to a lower flow. If we leave Pasadena by not later than 7:10 we should be in Newhall by 8pm easily. Pasadena has lots of great places to eat, particularly Old Town, but the parking is scattered and so coordinating the departure could be dicey. There is a very nice little Mexican Restaurant that has been around forever, Mijares, that has its own parking lot, on Pasadena Avenue just down from California Blvd. I think that would be a good spot to gather. I will get a table for 5 or 6 in my name and be there at 6, so folks can just amble in and sit down with the group when they can get there.
