I've watched Alan fly a few times. He's a great pilot! He practices every day, and it's pretty much all he thinks about. He flys real aircraft also, and is only 18 or so.
Heli's can be pretty expensive, but if you take your time, get some help from someone experienced, and get a good simulator for the computer, crashes can be kept to a minimum.
I haven't touched any of my heli's since buying my G in August. Alan actually bought a new car a few months ago. A mutual friend tried to talk him into a G after seeing mine, but he went with a SRT instead.

Oh man, a Nexus 30 (I assume)? That was my first heli. I learned to hover with it, and then sold it and Bought a Raptor 30. The Raptor is much more reliable, and flies much better than the Nexus. I had a Hummingbird also, but sold it when it got boring. If it can't hover inverted or fly backwards, I don't want it
