Mine is being replaced right now. Hope there aren't any problems with this new one.

Oh, and don't let your car out of your sight. I cut the zip and checked myself the night before and I was 12mm down in 1000 miles. Well within the bad area. They told me it looked fine, and that I should come back in a 1000 miles. Had to call them out on it, and they kindly changed their mind.

I think it really depends on your dealer. My dealer didn't care about my intake or test pipes.

^ Agree...I probably could've left my JWT intake on, but swapped back to my stock air box just so there was no possible hmmm about that. No problem leaving on my cat-back exhaust.

Could you tell me when your engine was ordered? After 2 consumption tests, last Tuesday 7/22 I qualified (16mm low < 1500mi). They told me that they should be able to replace the engine before the weekend; however, they called me Friday and said the "parts are on back order for about 2 months." I just want to know if they're giving me the runaround.

Is there a number I can call to find out of the revised engine is really on backorder right now?

They ordered it on Monday, and it came in two days later. They said it normally takes 3 days to get the long block in though. Took them about a day and a half to install.

Oh man, I had to get nasty with them. I recorded myself testing the oil the night before, and saved it to my laptop which I had with me.

They of course didn't want to see that video, and after some arguing decided to swap the motor out.

Hell I still wonder if they actually did the swap. The car does sound different though. How could I tell for sure? The invoice has the correct part number and gaskets they ordered...

So far I've got a whopping 50 miles on the new VQ (assuming it's new lol) and it seems very smooth. Can't wait to be able to open her up in a few weeks once I've hit the 1000 mile mark.

^ Only way I knew mine was the replacement was, I took pictures of my V2 still on the crate in their shop, including the stamped engine #. Then same number was on my paperwork. Not talking about the part number, that was on paperwork too. Plus front of engine looked squeaky clean like one in their shop unlike my original. Then when I changed my oil at 75mi, it was all very clean and new underneath.

It's been mentioned manys times in here, but understand this thread is very long to read....

Spirited driving staying in higher rpms with lots of engine braking and even with long hwy/fwy runs driving normal seem to increase the OC rate many owners have said, including 350Z'ers with these revups. Same increased OC rate with me when I did the mentioned.

Do Canadian dealerships honor this TSB? I called Infiniti Canada today and they told me there are no TSB's for my 06 G35 and the only thing was an optional recall on the headlights?

Anyone have to go through this in Canada? I am in the process of oil consumption tests and it's down 23mm after 3000kms or 1900 Miles.

*Edit I called Infiniti again and they said they are not at liberty to discuss TSB's with me.

Soo....
