I just had my G dynotuned by Shawn Church on 05-03-08 and wanted to post my results for you all

I have the following mods on my '05 G35 6MT:
-5/16 Motordyne Spacer
-MREV2
-Stillen Intake w/ Z-tube
-HKS Catback Exhaust

After spending about 3 hours on the dyno, in the end I was not too impressed with the results we got (nor was Shawn) or perhaps my expectations were too much and not practical! I was really looking for a minimum of 280 rwhp when all was said and done. He installed 5 different maps (which can be switched on the fly via the cruise control button):

1-Performance
2-Race Gas
3-Economy
4-Valet
5-Anti-theft

Please take a look at the dyno and feel free to post your opinions or advice, etc.

How can u not be impressed with the results? U got over 20 hp gain at peak and day and night difference in the power curve. Those are incredible gains.

650 is the initial cost then any tune after that is his hourly charge with 175 an hour. It usually takes an hour to retune the car after u add more mods on it.

Yea without HFC's/TP's, headers or cams, your gains were VERY impressive with those minimal mods you have.

most gains are midrange, not peak, but those are some pretty impressive gains.

Keep in mind, when you're NA, you don't see MASSIVE gains from getting dynotuned like you do with FI.

I agree, but, with all of the bolt on mods I have I was expecting to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 280 rwhp.

274.9 isn't too far off... I wouldn't mind having that my power on my car

Are you glad you got the UpRev instead of TS/something else?

well im hitting little over 280 with similar mods but I do have test pipes. Those numbers are where they are suppose to be.

Remember, theyre just numbers. The gains are what really matter.

@ klubb: He's on a Rev-up...

how can you be unhappy with those numbers?? You're a mere 5-6 whp shy of your goal. You gained well over 20 whp... those are excellent gains for your minimal mods. Get headers and HFC's or TP's and you'll hit over 280.

Well, can't really comment on that considering I don't know how much I would've gained by going with TS, etc. Besides TS was $50 more

Overall, I'm pretty happy, but just a little bummed that we weren't able to hit 280 rwhp.
