What TPMS Reset Tool to Buy?

I swap rubber between seasons and I'm wonder what tool people use.

I tried the free DIY method and it's more of a pain that it's worth to me (and it didn't work anyways). So I'd like to get an actual tool that is quick and works well.

Any input?

There is no inexpensive device that replaces the factory scan tool procedure. They do exist but are well above $1k.

Most people live with the light being on during the winter.

Just tried ordering ATEQ Quickset Device Revolution Item #AT-TPM QUICKSET - Mfr. Model #AT-TPM QUICKSET from tirerack this morning. Got a phone call 15 minutes later from BLAKE (EXT.621) at 888-981-3953 or email blake@tirerack.com stating this device will not work on any Infinitis and that the Infiniti dealers are the only ones he knows that can reset the TPM. Not sure if I believe him but that is what I was told.

This is great info! I was thinking the only way to do it was the Consult III crap or the Bartech 400, both too expensive unless you do it for a living. The Quickset manual shows Nissans up to 2008 as an example in the "how to" section. That is some additional evidence that it does indeed support our cars. I am happy now.

The post right above yours (#6) says it won't work.

^lol, you all are better off trying the DIY tpms reset on myG37.com, seems a bit annoying when it comes to timing it, but worth the money youd save imo.

I will definitely check the free DIY method on myG37.com

How I read the previous post was that a guy, who may be working of old information and probably hasn't tried it himself, told him that it wouldn't work. A few years back, the only thing that could do it was the Consult III. The manual, an example screen shot of the software, the ATEQ website and a first hand account at my350z.com says that it will do what it claims to do. http://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-t...-own-tpms.html

However, I realize that it is not a 100% solution in that it doesn't do everything needed if you were starting from scratch. It will not "activate" or read the pressure monitor code in the wheel. I am not sure what "activation" is and if it is required, Ive just seen it mentioned. The owner has to grab the code from the monitor before the tire is mounted or use another tool...I think.

Another TireRack employee is saying that it does work on my G37.com
http://myg37.com/forums/wheels-and-t...eset-tool.html

I think it at least deserves further investigation. Both before buying one and before dismissing it.

Unexpectedly, I threw my OEM G35xS wheels back on for winter and no TPMS light. Hopefully once they are matched, they stay matched.

FWIW, the tire shop reset my TPMS when I threw on some Rays 19's.

Oddly, 2 days and 5 trips later, the light ifinally came on. Damn.

Can you confirm this??
My dealer said my G would not "recognize" 2 set of TPMS sensors (only 1 at time)
they had to be programmed each time I put them on the car.
As I have a set of wheels for summer and another set for winter this is very annoying, I thoughmy G could "remember" at least two set of TPMS sensors...

Does they lied to me?
