No I don't think so. The only way it might cause a problem is if you had problems with something electrical in the steering column or a problem with your air bag in the column, the dealership might try to blame it on the installation. If it is done correctly I don't think you would have a problem, since you are using factory parts.

order them.... It's one of the cheaper mods you can do to this car... I use them to shift up to 5th gear while in drive ~40 mph to save on gas a lil

I meant to ask about that.
You installed your own exhaust but you're hesitant with these paddles.
Honestly, I'm the other way around. I found this installation to be a breeze.
I'm on the fence for a new exhaust but I'm not looking forward to the install.
I hate getting under cars. I despise jack stands and ramps scare the crap out of me.

BTW, my road trip comment was a joke... meaning that if you got in your car and drove down to MA, I'd install the paddles for you.
Hmm, maybe you could install my exhaust while you're here!

What made you think I installed my own exhaust!?? HAHA! more like.. I drove it to a local shop and had them do it for me. It cost me 102 dollars :S Without a lift.. and knowledge (which I dont have), I wouldnt be able to do such things. hehe Doing the paddle shift mod is more likely than replacing my own exhaust. haha and yes, that would scare me too. WIthout a lift and only using jacks and ramps? no way.

thx for the nice gesture =) If MA was close from where I am, I would. haha But I think the cost of gas driving to and from will equal the cost of labour of having someone here install it for me. hehe

did the paddles today. didn't think i'd want them when i picked the car w/o the sport pckg but quickly realized that w/o them, the car is not the same. took me all of 30 min. Just remember the T30 security Torx, the philips screwdriver and the 10mm and 19 socket. with that, it's a complete piece of cake.

can't wait to go driving tomorrow.... and i thought my mileage couldn't go down anymore....... lol

First thanks to Lemodular for the write up and Rick for the paddles.

I put them in yesterday and all works great. I have 2 things to add that may be helpful.

1. Before you disconnect the battery extend the steering wheel out and up and have the steering wheel straight. I had to reconnect the battery to do this causing the air bag trouble light to stay on. This brings me to #2

2. If you do have you air bag light stay on this reset proceedure does work.

Courtesy earth0:

Turn the key to the on position and watch the airbag light. It should stay solid for 5-7 secs, and then turn off, and then start to flash.

To reset the light, you must turn the key to on, watch the airbag light stay solid for 5-7 secs and as soon as the airbag light turns off, turn the key to the off position (you have to turn the key to off before the airbag light starts to flash, or you must start over). You need to repeat this 5 times. Try to start the car, and hopefully the light will be reset
