i installed the paddle shifters today myself

great instructions --- i borrowed all the tools from my neighboring businesses --- a body shop and auto shop

it took me a little over an hour

if you have a base, journey, regular X --- should get the parts and install

I just received my Paddle Kit thanks to Tony@Riverside.

One question, I noticed the comments about restoring the auto-up power windows. Does this also affect the one-touch power sun roof?

In case anyone is interested, the nuts that go over the top bolts for the paddles are "Hex Nut 6mm-1.0". For the sides, I used "Hex Bolt 6mm-1.0 x 10mm". I didn't get the right screws for the two bottom front screw holes, so I don't have any exact info.

great DYI write up. Is it wrong that I ordered this set from Tony today, yet my car is in route and wont be here until Thursday?. I wanted the sport, but realized an X would be best... Now, if I can just find some m35/45 sport 19's for the summer months...

you do know that Infiniti now makes a G35XS now dont you? I just bought my X this last friday, and I almost got the XS (the AWD sport model) but they only had one color, and I did not want the same color as my last G35 sedan.

Thanks for the info....it's already listed in the original write-up (post #1) and should be part of your "kit" if you bought it from Riverside.

There is a problem with the paddle shifters for the Base trim, they do not have any prewiring for the shifters. I have spent a couple of hours figuring out the problem and can't find the answer. Do base trim come with the prewiring for them???

what year? as far as I've seen, all 07+ should be prewired, you'd be the first to report different.

Mine is 2007. For some reason I am the only one that don't seem to have the prewiring.

Gear Indicator

Doing the install this weekend and have a question that I didn't see covered:
When using the paddles in D - what shows on the display, the gear you are currently in or does it still show D?

The gear you're currently in shows for about 30 seconds to a minute or so, and then it changes back to D.

Regards,
Tamir
