LOL... didn't work?
Have you called them? They'll pull your part # and tell you when your particular update is going to be available.
I'd call. Nothing worse than waiting for my update to come (which I'll send to anyone who asks) just to find out that doesn't work either.

Get the ball rolling now, if you haven't done so already.

Well, your updates motivated me to ask BullyDog for an update on my update

They just emailed me version 1.2.2E, fresh off the presses today.
I'll have an update in about an hour.

1.2.2E installed without a hitch.

BTW, nobody warned me about the fan coming on while the download went in. It read the car, built the file and than as it started to load, the fan came on, along with all the gauges, chimes, gizmos and do-dads.
Scared the crap out of me

I haven't driven it yet. That will have to wait until tomorrow... I have way to much work to get done right now.
I went with the Premium tune, set my timing to +2, set the top end to 177 (Just because I can) and shift point to 7800.
We'll see if I notice any immediate change, or if any further steps are necessary.

very nice!! oh yeah, forgot to warn you about that fan. Thats how I knew the version D worked for me as version c did not make the fan come on.

do i want to update to version E eventhough version D is working for me?

I think the different versions right now are just to include all ECUs.

Have you heard they're recording while on hold?
They're talking about future updates including WOT adjustments.

I know that we are all enjoying the benefits of saving gas, but I was wondering what are the adverse effects from this tune. The benefit is cutting back on the timing, which the target is set for -2*. This causes the car to run on the lean side of the fuel mapping. I know that the normal ECU mapping runs the car on the rich side but I don't know the percentage. Also, the Nissan titans have the 5.6 liter V8's in them, I am wondering how smart the Bully Dog calculates the differences in the displacement of the different engines that are using this model (44590), and how much of a difference does the timing make with retarding the spark to cause the engine to run on the lean side. Of course, running lean gives a more complete combustion process but it also contributes to a higher ignition temperature. Correct me if I am wrong. I just want to know what are the adverse effects from running our engines on the lean side. What is the threshold for our engines? Does this cut into our guaranteed 200K-engine life expectancy that the Nissan engineers are aiming for? Please chime in.

Hey after reading johnblaz2000 post#227, it seems as if the guy whos getting the new engine after the overheat might have something to do with the tune. Any ideas?

That is what I am thinking about. Could the Bully Dog Premium Tune be too much for our engines? IDK, I am reading some reports on other forums and I haven't really come across anything bad yet. There are some very good write ups on the Bully Dog. This is regarding our model 44590. Before my Engine crapped out I was witnessing around a 2 mpg increase and definitely a more responsive engine.

Uhhh Yeah I'm worried about the bully dog causing the engine's death, i mean if the install can make the fan come on and the main reason why the engine died was over heating it doesnt' look too good atm.

No, It doesn't look too good. I do feel a little better after reading this write-up regarding engine management. But for the overheating, IDK. I am going to contact Bully Dog again to find out what is the reason for the fan to turn on during the download process. And could the involvement with the fan interfere with the engine cooling management. Is that, (Engine Cooling Mgnt.), even built into the ECU?
