Yeah, I did the premium tune (I use 93 octane) and the plus 2 timing. I was so hopeful on this mod. I guess I'll give it a couple of months, but it seems as though people who have seen results saw them almost immediately. Should I re-install to make sure it took the tune?

Do you think it would do any good to uninstall and then reinstall the tune?

Already starting to get the feeling I should of never set foot into this thread. Even worse I began reading all these pages of Bullydog information. Now I am trying to justify reasons why buying this would be a smart financial choice. I am epically failing am doing so but of course I want to pick it up non-the-less. The potential gains seem like they might be worth it. I am getting to the conclusion that purchasing the G was very bad for the pocket.

Take a look at the People that have Bumped thier timing up +2 deg. (me) That is where you notice the most results. my fuel economy has gone up 1-2MPG (even more than that if i baby it) and it is much more responsive and pulls a bit harder under heavy acceleration.

Look at it this way, you can get the Bullydog (i got mine from Auto Anything.com when they were having a sale. paid 320 shipped) if you dont like it you can always uninstall it and turn right back around it and sell it for the same price you bought it for.

Your right Austin. I think I am pretty sold on the Bullydog (wish we could get a before and after with a dyno however) I think I am just doing to end up waiting for a good deal on one and picking it up. The positive reviews from you guys has made me want to pick it up.

I'm still very happy with mine and I bet going back to stock would make the car feel numb in comparison.
It's well worth the coin.

I did went back from +2 degrees to just 0 and I can tell the difference with the +2 timing. I think I noticed a difference as well with intakes FWIW.

I know I know, I have been searching every here and there for the best deal. Going bargan hunting with the Bullydog. Trying to pay off a few things at the same time and shouldn't even be thinking of it but hey it's for my G. Plus I have done a few minor mods so far but nothing really for performance, been iching for one.

Ok.... I just spent the last couple of hours reading the 34 pages of postings. The crazy things we do for the love of our cars...

First off: To all of my fellow 6MTs, I know we all have felt the horrible delay/bogging-down/lag when we step on the gas while cruising. That issue caused me to get rid of my HFCs (FYI... Toni at FI is great). Dealer says it's just the way the car is (we all know that is bull).
Has anyone with a 6MT notice this issue go away with this mod? That alone would make this an awesome buy for the 6MT community without having to pay for an expensive mapping from another company and tuning shop !!!!!!!!

Secondly: Has anyone had issues with their trannies? They are a bit touchy when it comes to wear and tear.

Finally: Anybody ever make it to the dino to get some #s? Hard to say how much of the increase on our ONLY dino was due to the other mods. Could be the mods might have run more without the tune (unlikely but you never know). + every care is different and may or may not respond to the tune as well as the next.

IMO, I think the engine problem was a fluke and not really related to the BD.

1. ....still waiting for a file from them, I haven't been able to DL yet (I haven't been chasing them, too busy)

2. No issues... love the trany.
Only thing I found; I did an Amsoil change & it wasn't the best.
I went back to the Nissan MTF, which I found out is a full synth fluid.

3. still planning to do before & after runs.
In addition to the gains, I want to be absolutely certain that it's not running lean.
