Angry I'm NOT happy with my new intakes !!

i've got R2c intakes n installed'em like 2 weeks ago . . in fact, i used to accelerate the car in just 5.7 seconds from 0-100 KM and 20 sec to 200 KM with my FI exhaust . . after those intakes installed, the car accelerates now in 6.2 sec ( 0-100) and 23 sec ( 0-200 ) !!

so . . whats the deaaaaaal ?
you pple used to say that these won't end u up with losin power or sumthin ( like some intakes do out there ) and so it's claimed by R2c's !

i really got excited n ordered'em hopin they'll do good to ma ride, but now so frustrated here . . didn't expect that !

neway . . i just wanna take them out n get ma stock back, but i can't find the resonators/silencers . . i lost'em somewhere . do u think it's possible to install the stock intake without ' em ?!

thx in advance . .

There are many computed factors that play in 0-60 testing..

Outdoor temp..
Car temp..
Car weight... (amount of gas, passengers, etc.)
Tires... (tread life, psi)
etc...

Also intakes tend to get hot and lose power after a while... (except cold air intakes)

sorry . . forgot to mention that acceleration tests were carried out in same circumstances in terms of weather temp, car temp, weight . . etc !

What are you using to measure the times/changes in times?

That small of a difference could be attibuted to human error. Get a more accurate way to measure it and try it again.

The stock air intake is already an enclosed system that takes in cold air. All you have to do is switch to a high flow filter. Or maybe grab a 350z intake tube.

Most aftermarket intakes offer a high flow filters, but its grabbing in hot air at the same time.

And the testings they do is laughable. LOL. They have the car running on a dyno with the hood wide open and a big fan blowing at it. Who here drives with their hood wide open?
