Transgo valvebody upgrade kit

Has anybody done the 5sp automatic transmission TRANSGO VALVEBODY UPGRADE KIT RE5R05A-HD2 on their own? How difficult is the valvebody upgrade? Do you have any pics of the process, or hints that make it easier? How does the transmission react after the upgrade, casual driving and stomping on it? How much WHP can the trans handle after the upgrade?

I'm gonna do this at some point in time. I'm probably gonna go with the GTM Valve Body kit which includes a new valve body core, upgraded with the Transgo kit as well as their own upgraded/modified solenoids.

I think GTM has to use your valvebody because they are VIN# match to your ECU. Has anybody actually talked to GTM to findout if they really do put upgraded solenoids in the valvebody?

If GTM does upgrade the solenoids, how much more WHP will the trans handle before the clutches start slipping. I have heard the 5AT with the valvebody upgrade and trans cooler will hold up to 500whp.

^ I don't think it's a whole lot more. I think they have a whole valvebody replacement for big hp gains, but it's expensive

those that run trans cooler kits, do you keep the trans fluid routed through the radiator, or do you just use the radiator connections and eliminate the radiator routing?

GCC spec cars have a stock trans oil cooler from factory. I'm not sure where it routes though. G35s-Q8 you have any idea?

Here's a few pics>

Looks like a great mod, I'd love to have it. Let us know how it goes.

Don't worry, you'll be the 1st one i'd call, i need you to document everything and take pictures, also you'll get to drive the car and test it so that you can write a review, your reviews are very detailed and nice, unlike me, i'm too lazy to write anything .

Some of my friends leave it go thru the radiator, some of them don't, everyone got their own idea's, and i doubt if there's any difference, maybe 1 degree up or down.

The lines come from the transmission to the cooler, and then it goes back to the transmission, i'll swap our stock (10" x4.5" x 1") cooler, with a massive (16" X 7.60" X 2" 25 Row 22mm) racing oil cooler, because temperature here in Kuwait get's to more than 122 day time, and maybe 110f at night, it's hot like hell here.
