BTW my car has the metallic rattle issue on hard accel too. It's been doing it since I picked it up 2 years ago with 36k on the clock, but it hasn't gotten any worse so I'm not worrying about it.

Well my metallic rattle issues is not due to the brake fluid or the engine signs I was getting.

Ever since I changed my pads I no longer get the warning lights on my dash on WOT.

The metallic rattle issue is still there and ONLY comes to play at 3,000 rpms (any gear)

Other than 3k I never heard a thing. I'm slowly trying to make the sound worse by holding my gears at 3k so I can find where the noise is coming from. I'm hoping it something loose which will eventually be obvious to see.

I'm 100% sure it's something to do with my exhaust or the heat wraps I've installed. If you know my history with my car I've gone through a bit in relation to my exhaust and HFCs so It's most likely down to something in the exhaust system.

Here's a brief summary of the issues I've gone through:

My 07 g35x has the same rattle/rasp noise your talking about and it has all OEM exhaust on it with 84k miles on it. I was actually gonna take it in next week to have it checked as I thought it was a problem with the mufflers. I took those off and drove it around and the sound was still there. I'm guessing it's something closer to the front of the car.

That's what I'm getting at, it may be something other than the exhaust it self? Maybe a heat shield that's attached to the body instead of the piping.

Well finally foud the problem of my rattling noise.

Yesterday the rattling got really bad, so today morning I went to the closest garage to look under the car and found that next to my X-pipe one of the welds had come loose which was causing the rattling noise.

Had Ronaldo weld it back up

Damn. I never seen the update to where you found the issue for that rattle sound. Ill have to get my exhaust checked over. I also found a thin, almost feels like tin shield that the exhaust runs under near the back of my car that makes a lot of rattling noise if you just touch it. I was thinking it may have been that but not I'm gonna get my exhaust piping looked over for what you found.
