This is my understanding of the materials used:
a) Aluminized steel is steel tubing with a high temp ceramic paint.
b) Stainless steel is T-304 tubing
c) Polished SS is just T-304 but high polished for a “show” look
Some things to keep in mind … aluminized tubing is slightly thicker than T-304. The complete system is slightly lighter than stock and slightly heavier than T-304 for those of you planning on tracking. Being slightly thicker than T-304 SS makes them slightly quieter as well. If you actually manage to break through the ceramic coating, it is possible for rust to take hold, especially if you live in a corrosive environment. It is definitely a step above the stock exhaust steel tubing.
T-304 is slightly thinner making it lighter and maybe a little bit louder than the thicker aluminized steel. It has a satin finish, but will most likely have “lines” in the axial direction from the extrusion / bending process. It will also be more corrosion resistant since it has less iron content.
Polished SS is T-304, but high polished to chrome like finish.
Everyone will have to weigh the pros and cons for themselves.

Thanks Terry. I have a question for you. If I plan on driving down to Fast Intentions and having them install the exhaust, can the stock exhaust be disassembled into small enough sections so that it will fit into our trunk and rear seats if necessary (assuming of course I bring along some tarps to cover the interior, etc.).

No, not pass through. I adjusted the front passenger seat back and just put it there... only center pipes are really long... rest can be disassenbled into smaller pieces...Originally Posted by IvoryPearl07G

i got my exhaust in my coupe with seats down, cats to and some intakes and some cleaning supplies. its ll how you make it fit.
No way on the pass through. For me it was mufflers in the trunk and the center section and "Y" inside the car.

Hey guys. What is the pricing on the Fast Intentions Exhaust for our sedans? I have looked for group buy pricing and haven't found anything. I am trying to decide between the Stillen and FI, but price will be the decision....
