I spent the day installing Signal mirrors on my Sedan.
First of all, don't flame me for not posting pictures. I am running late so I will post them later.
It is Saturday and I finished the installation for the LED Signal mirrors. It was suggested that there might be wires for side markers under the fender liners. There aren't any wires under the fender liner. I removed the front left wheel and liner and no side marker wires or even a harness to the front. The wiring harness runs across the top of the engine compartment.
I finally decided that the rear of the car was easier to get to than the front and firewall. I removed the trunk liner and ran both the ground and signal wires from each rear blinker from the trunk to the firewall area. It was by far the easiest path. Funny thing, the rear blinkers have their own ground and not a shared chasis ground. I determined this with my 12 volt test light. It would not light up on the hot signal when the test light was grounded. My only solution was to run both signal and its ground up to my mirrors. It worked great!
There is an easy path under the door sills but I had to remove the rear seat to run my wires.
Once I got the signal and ground to the door hinge, I drilled a small hole from the kick panel through the body to the door hinge. I then removed the door panels and speaker and ran the wiring up to just below the mirror. I took the mirror off the door and ran the wires up inside. Using the same path as the remote for the mirror.
The mirrors just snap in place of the original mirror covers.
It took almost 6 hours but I could do the next set in 2-3 hours from what I learned.

Those will look very nice!
Just to be silly, you should tell your insurance co. Doesn't this technically make your car safer? If they where OEM and you where to remove them they would probably raise your rate so by adding them, arguably as safety feature, they should lower it. You know what?..., they would probably give you heck for modifying it. lol
Just enjoy the look!
