Our tail light looks like the lens is also held with silicone to the housing?

MMmmm, interesting! That I know the Tail lights have LEDs in there! Are they detachable? Maybe just leaving the Tail Light by itself with no LEDs or bulbs! Then it's would be most likely doable!

you can't bake them because they are 1 peice. In order to get to the inside of the tailight you must use a dremmel to open them up and reclose them using some sort of heavy duty adhesive. Not sure where you are from, but i know 180 custom in brooklyn offers this service.

They dont use adhesive. They plastic weld the tails after tgey are done. The reason the stopped is becuse no matter how well they sealed them condensation would somtimes appear.
hmm i've cut my tails with razor blade, and sealed it back up by carefully melting plastic with soldering iron and then a thin layer of silicone, and they dont seem to have any problems. Now they look like jdm tails that were floating around forums a while ago
