Almost time for new tires
Almost time for new tires
It's almost time for new tires. I request some advice. I have a stock 05 MT coupe with the 19" rims. I mainly want a smoother quieter ride. I don't drive it hard enough to need or want more performance. Is there a different size or brand that would meet my desires?
Check out Falken FK452 (vulcantires.com). I've put them on the rear and felt the difference immediately. I could throw the car around and the rear was glued to the road with stocks but with these there is some flex so the handling is comprimised. I think they are probably a good deal compared to other brands as well. They are definitely quieter and smoother and hence the sidewalls are softer than stock. So yeah, if you don't corner hard and want a nice ride (and longer wear characterisitics) these are a good option.

What a trip, I just got back from OHC in the valley and spoker to Chris, he also recommended the Falken FK 452's for my OEM 19's. Was planning on getting 245/35/19 (front) and 275/35/19 (rear). I was going to get the Toyo Proxes T1R's, but he said all you are paying for is the name. He said the 452 tires are more quiet than the 451's. So I'm planning on getting these w/in a couple of weeks along w/Tein G35 S-techs. I just missed the filming of OHC..... they are going to be featured on MTV's Tricked out w/RJ DeVera. They were working on a Lexus SC 430 I believe. Just visited them today (3-15-07 at around 7pm)
Another option for about the same price is the Avon M500. Available at Tire Rack. www.tirerack.com
