im running 245/35/19's all the way around and let me be the first to say BIG mistake, the car feels very wobbly and im guessing its because the rears are way too small, im in the process of going with 245/40/19s on the rears, anyone have this setup right now? i just want the car to handle as tight as it did when i first got it so what do you guys think would handle as close to stock as possible:

Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 245/40/19

OR

Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 255/40/19

I bought my car used, and it came with Nitto Invo's, with the sizes being:

Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 245/40/19

I thought that those were the stock sizes until I looked it up on here. I don't seem to be having any trouble with it . Then again, I have no idea how the sizes work in comparison to what they SHOULD. Basically, I'm retarded in this general area, haha. But, from what I know, there is no issue running those sizes.

My question is this: Can I/Should I rotate my tires? My previous cars all had the same size tires/rim width, so they would rotate all 4 tires around. I'm new to this so I'm not sure how it works. Thanks

`John

This is my first real post and thanks everyone on the forum for the great information. I've been looking everywhere for replacement tires (and size) for my 19" OEM. I want to get all season tires and the only one that works is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S; 245/35R19 and 255/40R19. I'll post updates once it's installed if anyone is interested.

I was thinking about 245/35/19 up front and 275/30/19 in the rear. Would this be too skinny of tires for protection?

bad option, not only are the rear tires too wide, but they are too short

Thank God for this thread!

I was going to get the 225/40/19 front and 245/40/19 rear OEM sizes from Falken, but little did I know Falken does not make a 225/40/19! It seems like the 225/35/19 front and 245/40/19 Falken 452s will work fine, just the front tires will be slightly thinner than my current tires. Thanks everyone for the info.

No - 225/35/19 are too short for the fronts. 245/35/19 up front will be OK. For the rears you could go with 245/40/19, 255/40/19 or 265/35/19. The 256s will work with your 8.5" wide wheels.

What do you mean too short? Are you referring to the 35 ratio?

From my calculations, the difference between a 225 and 245 is about 0.5 to 1 inch in width. Wouldn't that be a very big difference?

I'm obviously not very familiar with tire sizes, so bear with me. I'm looking up more info as I type this...

^^^^The fact that the tire's overall diameter is too small with the 35 aspect ratio.

Finally, new tires are on!

Here are pics of the old, stock Bridgestone Potenzas (225/40/19f, 245/40/19r):

...and the new Falken 452s (245/35/19f, 255/40/19r)
