Aftermarket Rim Problems Need Help Asap
I have a 2003 G sedan 5AT and just recently put a set of 2007 nissan 350z rims and tires which fit the car fine but I am having prolems with the ABS and VDC. I was told by a nearby nissan dealership that the reason i am having trouble is because you cannot put staggered rims on the car. I am in a very tight situation with money and really can't afford to even buy back a set of stock rims. Anyone who knows anything that could help would be greatly appreciated
most of us run a staggered set up on our sedans without any problems, so we know that is NOT the issue.
To help you better, we need more info from you.
what are the tire sizes on your new wheels?
is your car AWD?

Right now I have 225/45/WR18 in the front and 245/45/WR18 in the rear, would i be able to put 245/45 on the front? The dealership told me that my car was sensing the rear wheels moving about 4mp/hr faster than the front if that helps at all. The only idea they had would be to replace them with the stock ones which i dont have anymore.

I know i just talked to the garage that put the rims on and they told me that the reason the VDC was being turned off was because the steering alignment sensor needed to be reset using a factory computer. I brought it to a Nissan dealership because the nearest Infiniti one is about two hours away but that seems like my only choice

I'm surprised not a single person has caught this. His tires are way mismatched. A 225/45R18 is ~25.9" tall and a 245/45R18 is ~26.7" tall. That's a very big difference. The correct tire for that back should be a 245/40R18 (~25.8" tall).
