Neal,
What are your thoughts on Continental ExtremeContact DWS vs. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus?

At this point I'm primarily interested in treadlife and getting the most mileage I can out of a tire. How do the two compare? Are the Michelin's going to last longer and warrant the extra $$? I'm just daily driving on them with the occasional spirited drive on the weekends, so daily duty is my primary concern.

Also, can you beat the tirerack online price?

Thanks

Im running 20x8.5 +20 with 245/35/20 on the front and 20x10 +25 275/30/20 rear, but I need new rear tires soon. I found a really good deal on some almost new falkens that are 285/20/20. Can I use these with the 245/35 in the front, or will the back sit too low and look weird?
I am on stock suspension (for now).

The V12's are a great performance based tire for lower cost. Haven't had any complaints on them yet. Don't carry Nitto so honestly not sure how they compare.

The AS+ will provide better dry handling and response, the Conti better snow traction and slightly better life. Sounds like for your type of driving I'd go with the DWS if they are available in your sizes. I can only do as good as the site quotes price wise, but would be happy to help place the order or watch over it if my name is mentioned online.

I do not carry a 285/20-20 so not sure of their exact overall diameter. However, a 285/25-20 is an inch shorter than your current front tire. That would, in theory, make the 20 series two inches shorter than the front tire size. I'd stay away from them.

hi neal,

i'm looking for a set of all-seasons for the staggered 19" performance wheel package. i was looking at the conti extreme contact DWS and the website said they wouldn't be available for the 225/40/19 until the 17th. the dealership that is purchasing them for me said he spoke with someone from tirerack who said they wouldn't be available until the first week of march. however, the website now says they are in stock. can you help clarify?

thanks!

Hey Neal, I have a quick question for ya. I have a '05 Infiniti G35 sedan (not with the Brembo brakes), I'm looking to get a set of 18"x8" Tenzo Concept-9 flat black rims. Can you tell me the exact specs I need for the right rim fitment?
Is it a 37 offset and 5 x 112 - 5 x 114 ?

We have the 225/40's in our Louisana warehouse only at this time. All other locations about 4-6 weeks out. If you don't order from them give me a call.

We do not carry Tenzo so honestly cannot provide exact fitment data for them. Probably best to contact a Tenzo rep to make sure you get the right info.

The rear 8.5" wheel really limits what you can use. Lots of good stuff in the oem sizes which is what you're probably best sticking with. Need an a/s or summer tire?

Neal,

I'm lowered on Tein S-Techs, my wheels sizes are:

19"x9.5 +35 offset front (15mm spacer so effectively +20 in front)
19"x10.5 +22 offset rear

I've had 245/35 and 275/35 but would like to go as wide as I can without having to roll fenders. What is my best bet? 255/35 and 285/35?

Once you get into the 255/285 combo there can be rubbing issues with those offsets. For the little you would gain with a half inch wider tire I'd avoid the risk and stick with the current sizes.
