None of those will be better on the a/s side, but will handle/respond better on the dry days and in summer. Of those three I'd give top dry to Yoko, Pirelli, B-Stone in that order. Wider tires will have a harder time cutting through ice/snow/wet pavement since the wider footprint attracts more debris. Difference will be minimal though in this case.

Hi Neal,

So I noticed that you highly recommend the Continental ExtremeContact DWS, these would seem perfect for my general driving as I live in an area where we sometimes get light snow in winter, but not regularly enough to go for full snow tires.

However I drive a 2007 G35X which comes with 225/55/17's and the DWS doesn't come in that size, do you have another recommendation, or is it possible to put a different size of DWS on the stock rims.

Sorry if this has already been asked, I tried a quick search an I didn't get any relevant results.

Thanks in Advance

You can run a 245/50-17 with no problems on the oe wheels and get the DWS. That's a pretty common size up. In the oe size, look at the Yoko Envigor.

I need help! i have a 2003 G35 sedan and i have a set of Varrstoen 2.2.2. 19x9.5 Fronts and 10.5 rears in a 0+ offset on all 4 but my problem is what do i need to do as far as the TPMS sensors? just buy a set and install them or what? i am going for that stretched hellaflush style on my G35. what do u suggest i have seen people use the Adapter from iForged but do i need that? or do i just take it to a tire shop and have them install some sensors and valves and hope for the best? or can u help me?

Hi Neal,

I just bought an 06 g35 w/ sport-tuned suspension. Winters pretty much here in Seattle, getting a little snow. I need some tires that'll be good all year round, its wet the majority of the year here. I've been reading up on Contis DWS. Any other suggestions? Could you quote me for F 225/40/r19 R 245/40/R19. Any other advice for the wet season would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure how that wheel can or can't accomidate a sensor since we do not carry them. Our wheels do not requrie the use of any special sensor adapter. Usually just install to teh wheel as normal, but you're best asking a Varrstoen dealer whats needed to make them work.

The DWS would be a nice tire for your area. Good for light/moderate snow climates, does well in dry, decent life, etc. Popular tire for the G. Give me a call direct for a shipped quote.

Neal,

I have a 2007 sport sedan, and I was wondering if you can shed some expertise if a set of wheels in this setup would work for my car.

19x9.5 +15 225/35/19
19x10.5 +15 245/35/19

If it is possible, I would be picking up these wheels and what tires would you recommend?

Those sizes seem quite short for the car and way too narrow for those wheels. I'd look at 245/40-19 front and 275/35-19 if you're going to use those wheels. That rear size will be aggressive if used with wheels that have a 48mm or lower offset.

I will definitely get those recommended sizes. Another question, would those size wheels fit on my 2007 g35 sport sedan? I don't seem to be able to find anyone running 9.5 width in the front

^ I run 255's on 9.5 in the front, +38, which IMHO sits just right with -2 camber. Your +15 will be very aggressive, IMHO.

I can't say for sure about the wheels as thats a lot lower offset than what we normally recommend. Tire sizes will be fine, but you may want to rethink that aggressive of a wheel.

Don't see those coming in anytime soon. Might be late winter until that happens.

Hey Neal

What tire sizes would you recommend for
F 19x10 +22
R 19x11 +25

I was thinking 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 because i didn't want to throw off my VDC
And would most likely get the Hankook Ventus or the Kumho Ecsta SPT (currently on OEM 19s) from you guys.

Recommendations?
Thanks!!
