Hello all from Tire Rack
Thinking of getting 215/55R17 Bridgestone Blizzak WS70's and using my Stock 17's because they are really curb rashed/beat up from the previous owner so this will probably be the most affordable idea for me.
Does anyone have this setup with pics? Or any experiences with these tires etc?

Hey Neal,
I'm need of some tires but it doesn't seem like Tire Rack has them. I have a set of Volk TE37 19" with a +22 offset with spacers in the front and back. I currently have 245/35/19f and 285/30/19r. The fronts fit perfect so I'll get the same size again but the rears occationally rub. I wanted a little bit thicker of a tire but not rub. I was thinking about getting 265/35/19r with all season tires. Do you think this set would would work and if so are their any tires that TR has? If that size is not available, what tires sizes do you recomend that wont rub but will give some cussion? 255/45/19r? 255/40/19r? 275/35/19?
Thanks for any input you have

Hi Neal,
I need to replace the OEM Eagle RSA tires on my '06 G35x sedan. I'd call myself a spirited driver but not extremely aggressive. I do like to take corners fairly fast and like the ride to be on the firmer side. I'm looking at the ExtremeContact DWS and am wondering if you could answer the following questions?
1. Some of the reviews appear to indicate that the tire has very soft sidewalls and is a little soft. I'm wondering if this is comparing it to high performance summer tires or will it be generally softer than the stock RSA?
2. Overall, in terms of performance (dry, same sense as above question), would you say the DWS is on par with, better than or worst than the RSA?
3. Would another tire size work on the stock 17" rims (current size 215/55R17)? I ask this because there appear to be some other tires in sizes like 235/50R17 that I may want to look at if the size works.
Thanks

I gotta question for ya. I got a 03 sedan with 235/50r17 Yokohama s drives. Me and my Father have been arguing over the tire pressure. What is the recommended tire pressure for theses tires? All i see on the tire is Never inflate over 40 psi to seat the beads. And Max load pressure is 50psi

The RSA, to me, is a junk tire across the board. In all performance categories across the board (wet, snow, ride, noise, etc) I would rate the Conti better.
Only other size I'd look at that tire in is 235/50-17 which will work fine.

The soft sidewall debate is really subjective. What one thinks is soft another may not so hard to really say. A lot of people came off of summer only sport tires and into the all season Conti and then complained about the softer handling. No surprise really but it makes the tire sound bad. I would say you should have similar if not a little better response out of the tire, especially longer in it's life cycle.

1. Yokohama ADVAN S4
2. Bridgestone Potenza RE960 AS
3. Pirelli PZero Nero All Season
Also, if I go with the other size you mentioned should I expect any negatives? Sorry but I honestly don't know a lot about this and just want to make sure that if I put the alternative size tire on the same rims I won't cause any problems.
Thanks again!
