How good are Yokohoma YK580 or GoodYear LS2? Do you recommend a Michelin Primacy than this two?

Thanks
Check out the Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum. Good life, ride, it's quiet, decent handling as it's W speed rated, etc. Overall a great bang for the buck. Top tire would be Michelins Primacy MXM4. Those are one of the top in their class across the board.

need the most comfortable tire for the cheapest price. I dont care for handling or grip. Comfy.
I'd probably go Hankook Ventus V4 ES or General G-Max AS-03. Both decently priced options.

Call me when ready!

Hi Neal- Thanks for spending so much time in here giving us the facts.

I've been humming and hawing for a long time about tires and I've been hovering on the trigger for a set of RE11s for quite awhile. Imagine my surprise while I was going over your site looking at costs for the RE11 when I noticed the RE11A...

Subsequently, I found that the RE11A was reviewing VERY well and though shares similar tread configuration utilizes new rubber compounds.

I was in quite a lather after doing my research only to find out that it only goes up to an R18 / 255 size. Is this subject to change any time soon or are they working on something else?

EDIT:

Disregard- I was too impatient. Just placed an order for 4x RE11s

Sorry, my mistake. I was looking at 245/45-18 on the Kumho's. They are not made in the 235's.

Just wanted to post up that on the early morning of 5/25/13 I ordered my RE11s and the first 2 (looks like the other pair got separated during shipping) arrived this morning and will arrive tomorrow. All things considered with border delays not even remotely uncommon a 10 day turn around time is remarkable.

Thank you to the Tire rack for making my first such transaction with them reasonably painless!

Neil, which tires would you recommend for my coupe on oem 19s that would last longer than my ventus v12s but would keep a quiet ride, grip well and allow me to flip the tires to prevent irregular wear. I live in socal where it never rains but would like good wet traction as well.

I would look at the Continental Extreme Contact DW. Asymmetrical so you can rotate them, rides well, quiet, etc. Overall a great tire to have. The Sumitomo HTR-ZIII is another good choice that comes in at a little less cost.

Neil... What about directional tires? Rotations won't help with the inside camber wear.

Directional tires will require them to be dismounted off the wheels an remounted if you want to move them on the opposite side. Can be done, just more work to do so.

On a car that runs stagg fitment, probably a directional where you can make the inside shoulder the outside on the cars opposite side. However, directional tires tend to feather more due to being directional. The inside shoulder of an asymmetrical tire will always be the inside shoulder regardless of the position on the car. But they don't feather like others either. Hard decision to make.

Need help in deciding what to get to replace my worn Goodyear Eagle RS-A's just on 225/55/17. I've been looking for advice - a dealer told me to replace with Yokohama Avid Envigor, and another recommended the Bridgestone Ecopia EP422.

I want to replace my Goodyears with something not so expensive that I can use all year round. Maybe there are two or three recommendations in similar quality but down a few notches in price? There are for my 08 G35X sedan..
