Hello all from Tire Rack
Running that size all around or only looking for two tires? If only two, what model/brand will be staying on the car?
May want to check out touring all season for the best tread life. Michelin Primacy MXM4 and Kumho LX Platinum best bet there. On the sporty all season side.... look at Yoko's Avid Envigor and Conti DWS.

on a 05 AWD sedan. i'm on 18x8.5 wheels at a +33 offset.
I have your 235/45/18 Kumho LE sport tires. While that is the proper size for my car, the wheels are a bit wider then STOCK. I think stock is 7 or 7.5.
I'm not a hella flush guy so i dont want/need my rims to stick out pass the tires. But i notice that when i take the wheels off and place them on the floor, the edge of the rim is touching the floor. I'm looking to get some cushion there, maybe a 245/45 or 245/40. I know the tire diameter isn't going to be the same but I need to add more cushion for the wheels. What is best 245/45 or 245/40, I know one has a more limited selection but i know 235/45 have almost no options so it will be a upgrade.

You can continue to use the 235's on there, or you could move into a 245/45-18. Sticking with a summer tire like you have now, may want to check out B-Stones RE760. If moving into an all season tire the Yoko Envigor and Conti DWS have been great options.
If there is a difference it's usually only a 1-2 tenths of an inch which isn't noticeable. There's only been one or two cases over the years where a tire is quite a bit wider than others in the same size.
No problem at all! Thanks for the order!
