but to answer 1 more..do you think it would look dumb to get +12's which will poke a bit and be lowered on s techs since i will have a finger gap?
(FYI: ill possibly be getting coilovers within a year so that gap will be non existent then)

and i know some will say just wait and save for coils but id rather get springs now just to satisfy my wheel gap disgust for now
As long as you're confident in finding someone to do your fenders, the +12 will be fine and really won't look silly with that offset. The only reason I said go with the +22 is because you are unsure, it's easier to lower and offset then it is to increase it. Running small spacers like 5 or 10mm is fine it's the big spacers you want to avoid. Just stick to quality brands like Project kics.

You'll be happy with either offset and you won't have an issue fitting either of them.

the wheel is 18x8.5 +33, I think it will fit, but I would hate to buy them and not be able to use them.. I was looking at buying a full set of rears, so I can rotate them.

for tire size, to keep close to stock rolling diameter I would probably do 245/45/18?

tia
Yes, they will fit and yes, that tire size would be fine.

Lol I would love to get into fitment and I'm trying to get that stanced look but I want to do it without running some sick camber since I don't. Want to buy tires every 6 months...so I'm probably going with +12 and soon coils and hopefully have the no tire to fender gap I want....I'm coming from a 2g eclipse so I want to try something different with the G...I actually just bought my 245/35/19 for the fronts so I doubt ill be able to go +0 now..I think the guy running that setup is running 225 front and 255 rear(johnny I think)

That's johnnys old set up.

Dude, you can do it no problem without burning tires like crazy. Just make sure your toe is in spec.

1.
Buy the coils first, you can't get wheels to fit right without being as low as you want to go.

2.
Buy the 0 offsets, put that 245/35 you had for the front, on the back, buy a 225/35 and mount it on the front.

3.
Work your fenders a little and just roll natural camber on about a 2.5"- 3" drop. Wait about a week (if they are new coils) or less (if they are used) and get an alignment and tell them not to worry about the camber, just get the TOE to zero.

DONE

wow dude your awesome haha...now im super tempted haha i think Johnny ran Generals which i think run bigger..255 rear and 235 front but not sure if it was 35 series...it wouldnt be dangerous to stretch even more than his are on a possibly smaller tire?the 245/35/19s i bought for the front are continental contisport 2

and i know with the +12 i only have to roll the rear fenders...but if i get +0 would i need to work on the front fenders also??

i know you cant tell me how long a tire will last me with this setup since every tire is different but what do you guess a set of tires will last me if i run with the setup you told me with natural camber and get a toe alignment only in the rear(not getting front camber kit)

So I was thinking about getting a new set of wheels for my 03 G35 sedan. The next set would be 18x8 +42. That's coming from the 17x7 +45. Is it going to look the same as the stock setup or even look weird?

I'm wondering if 20x12 +5 will fit on the rears (rolled fenders) with 275/30s, and how much camber is needed to have it flush, not poking out. Don't really want to go any less than 275s if I can help it. Anyone have pics of 12" widths on g35s? Thanks

So im thinking about getting these TSW Vairano rims. I want to get 20x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the back.
What would need to be modified for the rears to work without any camber...or would I have to have camber?
And also what offset will I need to have for the front and back?
What tires would I need to look for too?

Here is what the rim looks like

Johnny ran 35 series tires, you can smaller safely but it's not necessary to do so. I'm unsure how contientals run (large, small or true) so Look into that a little more.

Front fenders are pre rolled so it's rare you ever need to done with them and if you really do need to, then its very easy (with a fender finisher or phonebook)

With say -2.5 -3, You shouldn't have an issue getting 20,000k out of them if you flip them. Flipping as in, half way through their life, you take the driver side rear and put it on the passenger side rear and vice versa. That way the cambered side of the tire isn't in as much contact with the ground.

It will be 15mm more aggressive. Therefore, no it won't look bad it will actually look better and more flush. You could even run a 10 or 15mm spacer later on if you want to get them a little further out and do a mild drop.

You're going to need a little more fender work than just a roll to be flush.

This is 20x11 -12 your set up will be 17mm less aggressive but this wheel is stretching a 235/35

His camber is about -3 if I recall and he had some room to play with the 235/35 (it was a test fit)

Therefore, you should be ok with the 275/30, -3 and go the rest of the way with fender work.

But you're stretching pretty aggressively for a flush set up...
As for photos check out the aggressive wheel thread.

Assuming this is a coupe?

1. You don't need to pull the fenders or even roll them with that offset.
2. You're running a mild stretch with the 235, you can run a much larger tire without issues.

What profile you looking for? I can probably find it for you.

It fits pretty wheel though, not stretched and nice and even with the wheel to tire.

What needs to be modified will depend on what the offsets are. You probably won't need camber as the offsets for these wheels around probably somewhere around +25 to +40

Aim for the offset to be around +15 to +25 any higher and they will look sunken any lower and you may need some work to get them to fit.

Tires, 245/35 front and 275/30 rear would be my choice.

They don't as far as I know, you'll need to pick up a set of 18" coupe wheels or 19" coupe wheels.

A lot of guys on here have really been in love with Hankook Ventus v12. They are price well and are a quiet quality tire.

Other tires you can look into:
Falken 912
Falken FK452
General UHP
Federal Formoza etc.

Do you want an all season touring or a dedicated summer?
