Hey, 4DGS I had a reply from you on my post which I never saw and was wondering if you'd be willing to give me some advice again?

Thinking about this setup for my g35 coupe, whats a good size tire for the front and rear, lowered 1.5 all around on BC Coils
Your advice and help is greatly appreciated.

Are you wanting to poke with this set up?
If you want to run full size tires you're going to need a hint of camber or some decent fender work.
Let me know.

I do want a slight poke but I don't want to run crazy negative camber and have the wheels sitting slanted, I have a spc rear camber kit and plan on purchasing SPL front camber arms so I can at least have my wheels close to OEM as possible. I'm getting my fenders rolled and pulled this week, so was wondering what max size tires can I go with my current drop in the front and rear?

Thanks for your help

I'd start with 245/35 and 265/35 and add spacers accordingly. That's a very mild and clean stretch.

You should have no problem fitting them into the fenders even with a spacer and very little camber (OE spec camber)

Will 18x10.5 +30 fit the front? I am worried about inner clearance I have never looked to see how much room is in the front? If I get my camber arms installed in this lifetime I would try to run -1.5 camber.

Thanks for the feedback! Would 275 or 285 Also be fine in the rear or am I cutting it close with that? And would 255 be pushing it over in the front?

And what size spacers would you recommend for a slight poke front and back with my current wheel size and offset?

New to all this, just trying to learn some possible options, I did a lot of research but not so many people running 11s , I just got a good deal so I'm trying to figure out how to do it right.

Thanks 4DGS

Christian is running 10.5 +25 with about -3 IIRC, which means you SHOULD be good with 10.5 +40 if need be.

Yea, you can go wider but then you can't poke, you need a little bit of stretch in order to clear the fenders in an aggressive set up. If you look up photos of Gsedan's car (now Beebo's) he ran an 11" out back of his sedan with a 295/30. Since he kicked the sidewall down a little it made it a mild stretch. Find some photos of that and see if that's something that interests you.

Quote: So on a 2005 Sedan what tire size would you recommend with a 9" et36 front and a 10.5 et 45 rear?

I'm thinking a 245/35/20 and a 275/30/20, really want a 285 but don't know if the 275 will even fit. I'm lowered on S-techs with natural camber. Plan on rolling the fenders because I know I will have to do that.

Suggestions?
Quote: Those tire sizes sound good, just make sure that 10.5 +45 won't rub the strut!
You think I'll run into a problem with the strut Uh oh. I thought I would be fine with a 10.5 +45.

Got it makes sense, I think I rather keep more sidewall so I'll go for that 265/35 in the rear. What's the difference between 275/35 and 265/35?

Yea I've been kind of stumped on this as I don't have a zero camber car around and some high offset 10.5s to test with. I need to find someone local and stock suspension so i can text my Z wheels on and see how much clearance there really is.

literally 10mm in tread width, so you'll have 10mm less stretch with 275. But 275 is pretty much getting into the right (full size) tire size.

10.5 +25 would give 5mm more inner clearance or does the -3 camber make that much difference? I am at -2.6 now would they fit with that? Not a lot of people asking about inner clearance The shaddix was rubbing inside with his 11 +20mm so I would have 4mm less clearance inside but HRE'S have a wierd ring on the inside that was rubbing he is the closest I have found to what I want

My other option is 18x9.5 +27, obviously I am running fat tires before some noob tells me how weak the offsets are. But it might end up in a spacer no matter what... I hate spacers....

Thanks Blaine

When I get home I will have to get the car on a ramp style hoist and do some measuring I guess I need to check if 18" will clear my brake discs anyway, the caliper thickness should be fine but I am worried the discs/ caliper are too big for an 18"

Running a full size tire (275/35) on a 19x11 +13 with a 1.5 drop with rear camber kit, fender roll and pull, cutting it close enough to rub and should run a 265 instead or should be fine with 275?

I am actually on S-tech springs with natural camber.

You will be fine with 275mm, likely could get away with out a pull. Run of the mill just flush set ups are 10.5 +17 with 285/30 no pull you are only about 10mm more aggressive wheels and 5mm wheel and tire so not very aggressive.

Got it makes sense sounds good thanks! So if I plan on running a 15mm spacer and make it 19x11 -2 then 265 would be better or would I have to go even more down to 255?

This is my old set up 10.5+17 rolled no pull -2.5 camber with 285/35 so your original set up would stick out 5mm more.with a 15mm spacer that is 20mm more but 265mm tires brings you to about 15mm more than mine that is pictured so a pull and camber will give you enough room.
