Hey guys,
I found a really good deal on a set of 2 245/45/19's. Would these be okay to run up front on the stock Rays with a recommended tire size of 225/40/19?
I am running 245/40r19's in the rear. I've heard running 245/40r19's up front opposed to 225/40r19's will eliminate understeer. I just want to confirm that the sidewall size will not too large that it will cause issues.
Thanks

I'm running 245/35 hankook V12s on my OEM 19 Rays fronts. 245/45 is going to be super fat sidewall.
Thanks guys. I figured the sidewall would be fairly big. Is it going to be large enough that it will noticeably affect the performance?
Thanks everyone.
Also, I know that people will run 255/35/19's on their 245/40/19 wheels for increase traction. Does this negatively impact lateral traction? I know running a taller sidewall will cause the sidewall to flex more, however im not sure about wider tires.
Thanks again

I doubt you will notice a difference when it comes to traction from a mere 10mm, but the lower profile will make the car feel "tighter" and will have a little better steering response. Overall traction is mainly the type of tire and the suspension setup.Originally Posted by canehdian_guy
