Reading the review above from a current GS-D3 owner is starting to change my mind and I did hear that the GS-D3s have softer sidewalls which reduce steering response.

FYI, the S03s are being replaced with the new RE050As which is the next gen tire to compete against the GS-D3 and PS2. I also wanted to ask if anyone has had experience with the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx. It's currently rated #1 in Tirerack and prices are much lower than the GS-D3, RE050A, and PS2. They also have a $50 mail-in rebate special right now. Any thoughts on this tire choice for the G?

Thanks!
yeah, it's too bad the S0-3's are being replaced by the RE050A's because they fvckin suck *****. the S0-3's outperform the RE050's in everything. Look's like im on to the new RE960A/S or the RE750's

I would not go with 245/45 18. I had those in the GS-D3 on my sedan and they were ok. very heavy (29lbs) and made the car handle floaty since the overall diam is larger then stock. I now have 245/40 contisportcontact 2s and i perfer them. they are really good so far and light.

I would get Pilot Sport PS2's over S03's. The Pilot Sports PS2's weigh 4lbs less per tire in the same sizes, thats alot of weight i think.

Thats according to Tirerack.
