great write up! alot of help...!!!
just got couple of questions..

- where is the bose amp for the a 05 g35x?
- i should tap into the wire thats going to the stock bose amp? tap the wire before the amp?
- where is the FM antenea for the sedan? i dont want to mess up the recepetion.
- will the bose HU EQ still work? if i raise the bass level would the aftermarket sub kick harder? does the HU EQ bass work for the speakers too or is it just for the bose sub?

thanks alot.!!!

-wire it in before the amp - splice into the wiring harness going into the amp

-yes the eq still works. I have my bass set at -3 then turn it to 0 and it pouinds rediculous

-yes i think the eq also works for the speakers, so less bass coming out of the speakers as well when you turn it down but since you have a dedicated quality sub - you wont notice.

The pre-07 sedan Bose amp is located in the trunk under the rear window shelf.

Thanks guys. Sorry Im really a newb with car audio install... Whats the best hardware to tap/connect the wires to amp? Just strip, twist, and hold them with electrical tape or use the wire nuts? If I tap the wire to the amp, that means it no longer goes to the speaker correct? Is there such thing to connect the wire 3 way so I can go back to stock easily when needed?

sick writeup..I'll have the zen enclousures, 10w6v2, and 500/1 very soon. My question is to those with the Bose stock interior speakers, how is the sound quality with this type of setup..did you regret the bass or have to upgrade right away because it was horrible..or is it decent until your ready to upgrade your interior speakers.

So where is a good place to ground the amp when mounted to the back seat?

I think a good option would be to get self tapping screws and sand off a portion of the metal chasis itself. Just make sure you're not tapping into the gas tank below!

I just installed the same set up. I like the way it sounds. I'd say the sound quality is definitely decent and something that you'll be able to stand until youre ready to upgrade your speakers.
