Swi-x

Before I ask my question(s) re: the SWI-X, is there something I should be doing in the search engine to return results when I search for "SWI-X"? I'm getting 0 results and I *know* people have talked about it.

Ok cool, that's the only search term I could get to return anything too, and they don't really discuss my questions.

1. Who has the SWI-X, and what is your opinion of the product?
2. Where did you locate the sender for the SWI-X? Do you have any problems with it there?

Thanks in advance.

The SWI-X issues that we've had have all been with the sender and interference. We don't like the product much and don't use it much.

There are non-IR hardwired versions for steering wheel interface for several radios.

Obviously, a hard-wired solution is preferable. I have used the SWI-X and will probably have to use it again in the G. I've never had any problems with it. I had it mounted in an Accord coupe in the center console armrest facing forward.

Yeah, I don't really like the idea of the SWI-X either, but I haven't found an alternative for this radio:

Why they couldn't have included a hard wired remote interface I'll never understand... it's freaking designed to replace double din OEM radios, which 9 times out of 10 these days connect to steering wheel controls.

bleh

any recommendations as to where the sender unit should be mounted in an 04 coupe?

Hey, amthar, I have one of those in stock. We bought it to test and see if it would play DVD-R MP3s (it doesn't).

You want it? Screaming deal.
