Can anyone please confirm this -----> "In the coupes :

Locate the bose amp. (drivers side trunk under the plastic next to the spare tire)

The remote turn on wire is the Light Blue in the black / blue plug.
The sub wires at the amp aswell are in the White plug.
Colors for the sub are Blue/red is postive and Blue/White is Negative."

I have a 2004 G coupe, bose system. I plan on doing this tomorrow and I don't want to run into any unecassary problems like splicing the wrong colored wire. Thanks in advance guys.

 

wondering if anyone can help me. I tried wiring up my sub and amp to the bose system. I bought a line out converter, spliced that into 2 wires going into the subwoofer black and white, then spliced a remote wire the the green w/ white stripe from stock amp. I read this DIY on a different forum. Well turns out it did not work and now I have no radio what so ever. it turns on but cant get any station it seems like it has no signal at all. I reallly hope someone can try and help me out with this issue i have been having shitty day. By the way i have a 2003 g35 sedan. thanks

 

When you say you have no radio, do you mean no radio stations come in, like you just hear static, or is there no audio whatsoever? Does the sub work of you play a cd?

 

No sound comes out what so ever not even static. When i try to change stations it goes through them like there are none getting a signal. It will just seek past every station. I had power to the amp and sub and when i did not hear any sound i disconnected them. I cannot play a cd right now becasue of the legendary CD ERROR FO.

 

-Did you remove the factory radio at anytime and forget to plug the antenna back in? Was everything working(besides the CD) before starting the install?
-Even with everything disconnected does the radio still seek past all stations?
-100% sure you tested and tapped into the correct green/white wire on the amp?

 

There's a fuse specifically for the antenna amplifier - fuse #6, that probably got burned out when you used the wrong green/white wire from the radio.

Did you use the green/white at the subwoofer's amp, or elsewhere in the wiring?

 

I never went near the radio. Yes everything worked perfectly fine before i tried this. Only thing i unplugged at all was the 1 connector to the amp to splice the remote wire to the green/white wire then i plugged it back in.

 

I will check that fuse once i by the car!. I used the green/white wire right at the connector for the amp.

 

Wrathernaut saw where I was going lol. I couldn't remember if there was a separate fuse or not. It should be a simple fix.

 

Either you accidentally grounded the amp signal wire, or the amp is drawing too much power, which is causing the use to blow.

If it blows again, I recommend using the cigarette lighter's +12v power wire as the power signal for your amp.

I am not seeing any fuse for the amp. Only the radio...

 

Just wondering if you can help me anymore at all? Could my HU finally shot or does it have to deal with the amp?

 

The radio and amp share the same fuse, so if the radio's on, the antenna amp should have power also.

Check for power at the antenna amplifier in the driver's side rear C-pillar behind the trim. If there is power there, either the antenna amp itself is screwed, or the radio's tuner's bad.
