@Djfermion - I don't know why your light would turn on unless you did something wrong. All you do is plug in the PA15 harness and attach the original harnesses to the PA15 and attach the ground.

If I just press PTY CAT > SEEK it'll go to Direct Mode
I use SAT, and all I have to do is press 5 and it goes to direct mode.

3rd time was a charm. Thanks a lot Calvin the light is gone. So there isn't a real reason the SES light was on right, nothing to worry about?

SAT is where the adapter is connected to, thats the mode you use to operate the device. I think pressing 5 does switch to direct mode, I haven't tried it.

yup, 5 does the job. It took me some time of pressing buttons to figure out how to do it because I don't like using the head unit.

if you have the PA15-INFI, its required to adapt to the SAT
But the PA15-NIS can be used either with the SAT input, Radio, or CD
I have to use Radio because I don't have SAT

So if my headunit has no "SAT" button, I should buy the PA15-NIS? I think im prewired for sat but not installed. I have an 07 G35 Coupe with OEM Navi...

Also, can I control the iphone while plugged in? I want to play pandora radio through my car speakers.

ok so this is whts in my trunk

so it appears im pre-wired (i certainly hope so), so I was under the impression, all i need now is the USA PC15-INFI connected to that empty white connector (highlighted below) and fish wires to where i would want to connect my iphone.

<a href="http://s822.photobucket.com/albums/zz150/freepicaccount/G35-Truck_Harness/?action=view&current=Empty_Connection.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz150/freepicaccount/G35-Truck_Harness/th_Empty_Connection.jpg" border="0" alt="Empty Conn" ></a>

am I even close or did i completely mis understand the connections.

thanks

You can only use the Pa15-INF if you have satellite radio installed, for the PA15 it doesn't matter if you are pre-wired or not.

So if the have it installed, you plug the Pa15-INF into the satellite radio box in the trunk.

If you don't have the satellite radio box in your trunk, then you need the Pa15-NIS and it plugs into the back of your head unit.

Your trunk area looks a little bit different then my 06 coupe, but from the pic it looks like that box on top of the bracket is the satellite radio box. Try and read the label and see what it is. it looks like it but I could be wrong.

using your Radio button on you head unit can you keep pressing it until it selects XM-radio ?

The only thing that makes sense to me on that box is the label "Visteon Voice technology". a google search brings up some thing related to bluetooth (which i have).

regardless, im pretty sure i ve read in these same forums, that just having a prewired harness is sufficient to have the PC15-INFI connected.

but i could be wrong....
