I meant go from one song to another with the steering wheel. When I try to skip tracks with my steering wheel in direct mode, the ipod just goes to folder mode.

While in direct mode and my iphone is hooked up, i can go up or down my play list with the steering wheel and itll go in order unless its on shuffle.
I'm not even sure what folder mode is haha.

Anyone know if we can use this hookup to hear a phone call through the stereo?

Also, what is the AUX option used for?

So my PA15, worked perfectly for about 2 weeks or so and now itll work like 1/4 of the time and the other times all i hear is static/ faint background sounds from the song.

I'm sending it in back to them for warranty work or whatever, but i was wondering did anyone else have this problem and fix it?

Sounds like a loose connection possibly.

Mine completely stopped working after the first day. No sound. I had to send it back for a replacement.

Yeh, I thought it was a loose connection too, but I tried several other iPhone and iPods. Same problem.
I also took out the headunit and looked at all the wiring and everything was good and nothing was loose *shrugs*
hopefully it was just a defective piece and not something silly that I missed.

Volume Issue

I have an '05 coupe and just installed the PA15-NIS. I can hear the music, however, the volume from the ipod is less than half of the radio volume. I can increase the volume to its max (level 31) and will only hear it comfortably... probably wouldn't be able to hear it when driving. It seems like the cords aren't drawing enough from the ipod. I have checked the "soundcheck" on the ipod and have it on its highest volume. I have not reinstalled my dash yet as I am trying to fix this problem first. Also, I have a hissing/buzzing noise coming from my engine now. Did anyone have this problem or have any suggestions?

From reading a massive amount of threads, my only thoughts are:
-the dash needs to be grounded, which requires it to be screwed in completely, so too much resistant in the cables (but don't wanna reassemble just to take apart, as it seems there has to be a bigger issue for that much volume decrease)

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

****Sorry for the large picture (taken from google lol)

Ok I've been trying to read through all of these post and I don't know if I missed what I was looking for or what, but I need help figuring out if this new pa15-nis can be used on my stock radio.

I have a 05 bose radio (I don't have satellite installed, nor do I know if it's satellite ready), but below is what my head unit looks like. Would the pa15-nis work with what I have? Note: this pic was taken from online, but the set button setup is identical to mine.

whats up guys, this is my first post. I just took home my g35 on Monday.
First, I just want to say you guys are awesome, a lot of good info in this thread.
I haven't decided which unit I'm going with yet, I have an 07 coupe with Bose, Nav and SAT.
Anyone have suggestions about running the wire from the trunk with the PA15-INF? It seems like it would be easier than taking apart the dash.
The other question I have is about switching back and forth between inputs, like if I wanted to play my ipod with the powered cable but then switch to pandora on my phone through the aux input. I think this was mentioned briefly but just for confirmation, do you have to change any of the switches every time?
Thanks in advance

Put mine in the other with some help from a friend. Took no time at all really. Very easy install, works like a charm. Working on making a custom mount for it through the coin tray/12V output in the center console. Will post pics when it's finished, still in planning stages now.
