Benzito, Generator
I would like to intall doorbell method to power on/off my xbox, but since I have SAT button in use I can't follow dollar's method.
I'm a novice in these things, so could you please explain way to install homelink option to toggle between nav screen and the xbox screen?

Re: NAVBOX TEST RUN COMPLETE
Has anyone tried this install in Florida. I would love to see it in action and learn how to install this or at least find someone that will. Thanks
Re: NAVBOX TEST RUN COMPLETE
shong, U will need a PAC trigger module interface. It allows you to convert a pulsing signal from the doorbell to a latching output. I have one for sale since I didn't need to use it. PM me if u are interested.

Re: NAVBOX TEST RUN COMPLETE
shong,
Just graduated and now work in Ocala. Ohh how I miss it there though. Are you nearby?
I am open to options. I was about to purchase a 2005 but didn't know whether to get navi or not. If I didn't get Navi, I would get god-of-cpu's setup when he designs the 2005 version.
If I get the navi, I would probably do the navbox as it gives me the most options. The only drawback would be that I couldn't put in a rear view camera (as I could have done with the AV Electronic rear-view input).
Anyone know the biggest HD you can fit in there?
I would still love to see someones Navbox setup. I'm sure someone around here has to have one complete.

Re: NAVBOX TEST RUN COMPLETE
Join the club. I do not know much about complex installations. (Though they keep saying its easy). I had a sub put in by a shop on Main Street and the guy seemed to know his stuff. Maybe he can give us a good deal if we both end up doing the same thing. If not, I do not mind spending a weekend figuring it all out. I mean...how hard could it be

Re: NAVBOX TEST RUN COMPLETE
I like to learn, so I'm not really planning to take it to the shop to do it. ^^
BUT, I'm going to start taking things apart after I learn little more... did you already buy your car? or are you still planning to?

Re: NAVBOX TEST RUN COMPLETE
No..haven't bought it yet. Was looking for a 2004, but its not too much more to get an '05. And, I like the interior changes. Right now, I have a 2004 X5, so it is not like I am in desperate need to make a decision (unless I want an 2004, of course).
I'm headed back home (West Palm) to check out a few dealerships down there this weekend. Its tough as the closest one I got now is in Orlando.
But I need to figure out the navi/no navi thing. I was originally going to get the navi and the AV box....BUUUUUT...this thread has changed my mind somewhat. I'll kinda go through some other g35 boards and see what I come up with.
What year G do you have?

Re: NAVBOX TEST RUN COMPLETE
Same boat here in good ol Indiana, but first I need to get my nav replaced. It likes to lock up for no reason. If only there were a DIY on this (hint hint)... they would be flying off the shelves. Looks like people want to do this, but have some issues about cutting wires inside the dash.

Re: NAVBOX TEST RUN COMPLETE
I see 120gb HD being the standard. Is there a reason we can't go bigger. HD are getting larger (in space) and smaller (in size) everyday. I saw some 200 gb ones the other day. I too will wait till black friday. Good ol 4:00am shopping at best buy.....gotta love it........
Also....putting movies on the HD. Whats the best way to transfer real DVD onto the HD. I do not like doing the whole VCD/SVCD/Divx thing. Whats the easiest way to do it?
