Im having a prob with my 04 coupe with bose. I have connected the PAC adapter exactly like it says here in the FAQ with all soldered connections and shrink wrapped but im not getting sound from the speakers in my rear deck. I have great sound from the front door speakers and the rear side panels is ok I guess but not a peep from the rear deck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The bose system builds the woofer signal for the rear deck (regardless of coupe or sedan) from the speaker channels. There is no separate woofer channel in the factory system. So if you have sound from the front and rear speakers, everything is wired correctly. The likely culprit is that the headunit you've installed has a high-pass filter active, so any signals low enough for the subwoofer are being cut out before they hit the bose amplifier. Check the audio settings and disable any crossovers or high-pass filters.
I have read through many pages of the walkthrough and not found an answer to my question, so hopefully people can be of help.
I did the double dinn install with a Pioneer AVHX4600BT using all soldered connections and everything works great except for the dimmer. So when the headlights come on, I don't have any a/c control dash lights, nor does the clock light come on. More concerning, is that my nighttime taillights are out too. Haven't run into a cop yet, but with short days and leaving work after sunset, I'm sure this will happen soon.
Any thoughts on how I can rectify this issue?
Thanks in advance for any help.

If you followed Wrathernut's wiring diagram exactly, the dimmer function should work. Go back and double check your wiring and soldering. But it really sounds like you blew a fuse or a relay somewhere during the installation if your dash lights and tail lights are out.
Quick question on the PAC NiS2 harness. My DD harness has 2 ground wires coming from it. Do I connect both those ground wires to the ground wire on the PaC harness? Also, it says to ground the wires so I'm assuming I connect all 3 ground wires together, and then ground them to the chassis. Where is a good ground, because it appears that everything behind the bezel is plastic.
Thanks for the responses Wrath and G35fromPA
Here are my original soldering connections (see pictures).
I tried cutting the dimmer wire connection (between the PAC unit and Pioneer stereo head) and I still don't have dimmer/taillight functionality.
I looked at the kick plate fuse panel and none of the relevant fuses are blown. Checked the fuse/relay box next to the battery under the hood and none there seem relevant or grossly abnormal.
The dash is torn apart, so any help people are able to provide on a quick basis would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

The metal frame that the OEM radio bracket goes into is a good ground.

After that, disconnect the radio harness completely and everything is working right before moving on, and make sure you've got the battery disconnected while you're doing the wiring.
I then disconnected the white connector that goes into the PAC unit, and still don't have dimmer functionality (including taillights). Is this adequate for "disconnecting the radio harness"? Does this mean the problem is unrelated to the radio?
Btw - I always disconnected the battery when doing wiring.
Thanks so much for all your help.

The first panel next to the battery compartment contain two relays labelled daytime running lights 1 and 2 (which look okay). Then fuse panel with a combination of a few relays, larger fuses with top visible wire, and micro fuses which I checked all of them and appear OK. In side driver panel, I checked the relevant micro fuses which were all intact.

Got everything hooked up. It works great except for the back up camera. I wired the head unit up to the purple wire on the harness you have pictured, but it flickers from the camera to no camera signal when the vehicle is moving. When it's sitting still, the camera stays on the screen. And when I put it in drive it flickers from the radio display to no camera signal display. I disconnected the wire from the purple wire and the problems went away. Any ideas what could be causing this? I used one of those blue quick splice connectors.

If you've got problems with the light functions without the radio installed, you should probably hit up the lighting forums to narrow down the problem. Once that's fixed, try the radio again without the dimmer wires connected to see if that was the source of the problem.

Ended up being a blown fuse (#71; 10A) in the IPDM. Thanks so much for your help getting to the bottom of this issue. It's so fun to have the double dinn setup fully functioning. One of my favourite upgrades for sure.
I just bought my '03 coupe and the previous owner had an aftermarket stereo system installed with the stock radio/HU. Is there a chance he already had the Metra 40-NI10 Antenna Adapter(or something similar) installed?
I don't even know what sound system is installed, and all I can see is the aftermarket amp in the trunk.
Previous owner says he doesn't remember much. Can't help.
Should I buy all the adapters and items listed in this guide anyway just to be safe?

Answered in PM too, but for anyone else wondering:
The bose system builds the woofer signal for the rear deck (regardless of coupe or sedan) from the speaker channels. There is no separate woofer channel in the factory system. So if you have sound from the front and rear speakers, everything is wired correctly. The likely culprit is that the headunit you've installed has a high-pass filter active, so any signals low enough for the subwoofer are being cut out before they hit the bose amplifier. Check the audio settings and disable any crossovers or high-pass filters.
