To make room for the DD, I cleanly zip tied my cables together and shoved them all the way down. Make sure you organize all the cables before placing the HU inside.

Read the first post please - right next to the JDM trim - Scosche Universal Trim Ring.

So I've tried reading through some of the pages of this thread, but 70 pages is a lot of pages to try to find what I need. So I figured I would ask and maybe someone would be able to help me.

I'm trying to install an Alpine INA-W900BT to my 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe with Bose (I want to keep my Bose amp and stock speakers), and I've gotten all the way to the wiring of the HU to my car, but I'm completely lost.

I don't know what to do with all of the wires coming out of the main harness with the speaker wires.

Am I supposed to connect the front LR and rear LR to something in the car? What are the other group of wires used for? They say remote in/out, m cont., guide cont., and reverse.

What do I do with the blue/white wire that's connected to the red and white adapters?

Where am I supposed to plug in the power/ground/ignition wires? They already have wire harness plugs installed on the ends?

As for the PAC SWI-RC, I really don't even know where to begin with that.

How am I supposed to incorporate the 70-7551 wires into this? I think I might've gotten the wrong wires, but I read on eBay that this was the "premium sound system amp integration...."

I also think I'm missing the AUX I/O Connector and the RCA Output/Input Connector harnesses because I bought an opened box item from Best Buy. Are these harnesses crucial to my installation? Is that why none of this makes sense to me?

Will someone please provide a very specific walk through about what to do with each wire? I'm very new to this and know practically nothing about installing, so the more detail there is the better for me.

Thanks in advance everyone!

From other communication, you said the Alpine was used and missing some parts, but those parts are irrelevant, because what you need is the ROEM-NIS2 instead of the 70-7551. The ROEM will connect to the high-level audio outputs, pretty much matching wire color to wire color.

Other stuff in there seems to be botched up from the the previous install, complicating things.

Hey.. first off.. thanks for the awesome resource list. I'm new to the whole modifying my car thing.. so I've got some very noob questions.. hope you don't mind.

I ordered a DD kit from CZP and they're backed up with a waiting list of over 40.. and when I ordered it I wasn't able to pick a color. I emailed them and was told it would be "titanium" colored. Is that the same as the silver/aluminum looking dash I have in my 2004 DG coupe with black interior?

Any idea where I could get a list of all the dash colors available.. preferably with pics.

And any suggestions as to where I could get the DD kit sooner? I wasn't aware of the waiting time when I ordered the unit. I'm gonna contact Grubbs on monday.

I'm considering the Pioneer avhp8400bh.. any other suggestions?

With the Pioneer & Bose audio I would need: Metra 40-NI10, Metra Axxess ASWC & PAC ROEM-NIS2.. is that correct?

And.. what would you suggest for bypassing the brake / no video issue.. so I can have video playing while in motion.

Man.. I realize I'm being super noob haha but I'm into it and I appreciate the help bro.

Thanks again!

I have found that 99% of the sellers on eBay with the JDM kits are all out of stock other than one.

Grubbs Performance.

I ordered mine last Wednesday and got it Saturday with the titanium and willow tips. He said that they were on back order but he has some in stock.

Here the link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/330697807956...9#ht_500wt_932

For the by-pass I think its just simply grounding the negative wire to something on the car or radio. (correct me if i'm wrong)

There's pretty much just the three colors for 03/04 - titanium (silver), willow (beige) and black.

Only way to get the kit sooner is to call around for somebody with the kit you need in stock.

If you're not after the dual-zone to entertain your kids in the rear seats or removable face of the 8400, get the avh-4400bh instead.

You also need a a trim ring (like the one in the first post of the list) to fill the gap between the JDM trim and the Pioneer.

No reason to have video in motion. Having video visible by the driver is illegal in most states. The only justifiable reason to bypass a video-only (no nav) is when you're putting that unit in the back of an RV. If you have one with navigation, there is reason to have it bypassed, so that your passenger can input destinations while you drive.

I feel like this is insanely complicated after reading about this. Unfortunately I'm in somewhat of a bind right now. Going down to Chicago this weekend so I need to order stuff in the next couple hours for it to arrive in time using Amazon 2 day shipping.

3 Questions:

1) Correct me if i'm wrong but what i'd need is this:

- Pioneer AVH-P2400BT Touchscreen Car DVD Player
- Metra 40-NI10 Nissan Antnna Adapter
- Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface (Black)
- PAC ROEMNIS2 Factory Premium Sound Interface Headunit Replacement, For Select Nissan Vehicles
- JDM Dash Kit: 68260-0304TC (TITANIUM)
- Scosche Ddtrb Double Din Trim Ring - This looks like single DIN but i've seen it quoted???

and planning to get this:
- Parking Brake Override Bypass Fully Automatic Video in Motion Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD AVH-P2400BT AVH-P3400BH AVH-P4400BH

Doubt i'd ever use the video features but I figure may as well install it anyway while I have everything out.

2) Is this the best bang for the buck deck? From some of Wrath's old posts the P2300 was a good bang for the buck entry level double din. I'm the type of guy that doesn't really need much other than AM/FM radio and ability to play my iPOD. USB charging my phone would be sweet too. I already have a Garmin GPS and prefer to use that since I don't want to be looking down for directions while driving.

3) From what I did read, everything should be fairly straightforward because I've seen quite a few videos on how to remove everything but not much on rewiring everything. If you have any wiring videos I'd be grateful if somebody could post it up. I'm a total newb at audio and wouldn't really be replacing anything but I'm worried that my Bose and AC are on the way out.

I have the 2400 and it is a great choice. The ipod co.trols work great. Only downside is the usb on the front.

Posted that in there shortly before I saw your post. I did see it suggested but it doesn't look like it's double din from the pics? I'm guessing you snap out the middle piece?

Any wiring diagrams? What else do I need to do the install? Will I be cutting/soldering wires? I'm such a newb at car audio

Yeah, you just cut that middle section out, and you'll trim off the outer edges edges as necessary to fit it into the JDM trim. It's thin enough plastic that it's easy to work with with a razor blade, rather than requiring a dremel like some other trim rings.

The only wires you need to cut are the three you'll be connecting the Axxess to. All others are reached through the harnesses and just plug in. Once you've done that, you're pretty much just connecting matching wires together. The only exception is the "power antenna" wire of the ROEM-NIS2. That one connects directly to the RED power wire for the radio, since the antenna amp draws more power than aftermarket radios send of their power antenna *signal* wire.
