Whine
Whine
After installing a DLS RA30 amp, UP6 speakers, & MW110 sub, I'm getting a faint constant wine when the stereo is on. It does not increase in pitch with engine speed. Is this a ground problem? Maybe my power/ground wires are to close to the signal wires?
Thanks for any suggestions to this stereo install noob

Thanks JWise....I followed the instructions in the DLS paperwork about turning the gain down, turning the stereo up until I hear distortion, then turning the volume down a notch, then turning the gain up on the amp until I hear distortion. The gain is up almost all the way because I didn't hear any distortion. I'll try turning it down to see if that fixes it.

Since I tapped into the stock wiring at the Bose amp location, I'm not sure how to fix this....any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Any possibility that channel's RCA got pinched to ground?

I have the same exact problem and I have tried EVERYTHING.
Try this... http://www.myradiostore.us/noise-fil...ers/nf-40.html
I just ordered it and I hope it solves my issue. I was going to try some Ground Loop Isolators but I don't have any humming issues whatsoever, just alternator whine.

FYI, apparently something was up with one channel on his deck. When he didn't use the F channels and took the R channels into "Y" adapters and ran the F and the sub off of that, he had zero noise.
He swapped L and R RCA connections at the OEM amp location and the noise remained on the same output of the deck, implying that it was not the RCA or the amp and it was the deck OP.
Bit of a mystery, I'm afraid.
