Can anyone comment on the compatibilty of the spring mounts? I have an 07 G35X Sedan. Would spring mounts from either of the following work?
- G37 Coupe
- 370Z
- 350Z

I picked up my 05 6mt back in Febuary and it's all stock except for the ride height, I think. The pics I see of other stock G's look like thry're higher than mine. How can I tell if I do have aftermarket springs?

I don't really want my car any lower, but my rears look like they could be lowered by an 1/5" to even things out. If I am on stock springs, can this mod still be done? Thanks guys.

It looks lower than this in person. Maybe this is why I think it looks lower than other stock G's.

so, can i use a saws-all on this or does it have to be a hack saw? Also, is this mount all rubber, or is the center metal?

You'll have a hard time controlling anything power. It took a while with a hack saw and is hard to stay even but that's probably the way to go.

Thanks... Great diy...

I was kinda scared to attempt this, but I did it anyway... If I messed up, I was gonna call in sick tomorrow since the dealer was not open today... Thank goodness everything worked out well and the car is back together. After I did my cut (1/2"), I placed them on a flat even surface and placed a level on top of them. I kept sanding until it was levelled... That is how I achieved the even cut...

The rear springmount mod worked well for me. I may have cut off more than I should have, but I have never had an issue. This is with 350Z revised springs.

Has anybody had an issue with this mod? I have asked many shops to help me out in doing it because I dont have the tools/ability to even take them out from my car at my current location and all of them have shuddered at the fact I would even consider that, and would'nt help me. So I am wondering if there are negatives here, because my rear drop is killing me with H-techs!

Thanks!

What coil are you on and have you had issues with the spring poping out when jacking the car off the ground?

The front mounts are pretty thin to begin with. I wouldn't do it.

Not using a rear mount is a bad idea. You will get metal on metal contact with could start a crack (cracks are sometimes started by gouging / deep scratches).
