Quote: email from GTSpec:

Dave,

I cover the shipping both way if it does not fit. MSRP for the 4 points chassis brace is $299, 50% off MSRP if it does fit.

Procedure:
1) I get your information and your credit card than ship it to you
2) You test fit and take pictures
3) If it don’t fit I send you a UPS Call Tag to pick it up and give you a refund on your card when I get the part back from UPS
4) If it fit then after the pictures I need I will refund you 50% of the MSRP back to your card.

Let me know.
Ken Chan
Sales Manager

I get it 1/2 price if it fits. What do you think?
Wow, GT Spec took my input.

X you know I usually shop in your garage but this time my giddyness got the best of me and I pulled the trigger at retail pricing. Which part of your setup makes the bars not work out for you?

SixFive,

The front brace won't clear the transfer case. I think the rear would work with the Stillen Gen 2 but without both it doesn't seem worth it to me.

Want a slightly used/scratched HKS muffler? lol

This sounds like some good stuff, but I'll be honest that I'm really confused about all the different front/bottom/rear/...sway/strut/tie braces...etc. Can someone either point me in the right direction to finding out what the difference between all of these is or just give me the quick and dirty. If you'd rather not post it here, a PM would be fine. Thanks a bunch!!

It took me a while to figure it all out as well. Check out GT spec's site and read about each of the 4 components they sell or check out the partshipper site as they sell all 4 parts. There are 2 reinforcement bars (front and rear) that come together; 1 strut reinforement brace, which won't clear some exhaust systems; and a yet to be fitted on a G35 coupe or sedan 4 point reinforcement brace which costs 300 bucks. Hope that helps.

GT Spec could not tell me if anyone had done it yet so do any of you guys know if the front bar will clear the oil pan with a JWT or Stillen spacer on it?

I would bet that there is no way the bar will fit with an oil pan spacer. There is less that 1/4 inch between the pan and bar.
BTW, Ken, sales manager at GTSPEC, asked that I clairfy the name of his company. The name is GTSPEC and not GT-Spec or GT Spec or gt-spec.....etc. So I went thru this thread and modified all the mutations of their name to GTSPEC.

I figure it is the least I can do for selling me the 4 point mid-chassis brace at 1/2 price!
