Cato once you solve this you must, read must, go drive fasty and furiously and get back to us straight away. The web page is open and I want your driving review before clicking ORDER.

65,

He He... I was planning on doing just that at lunch today! Now I'm going over to Infiniti to buy some fasteners that I'm sure have dropped off my lower engine shroud. Tonight I will lift my baby up and gently fix the damage THOSE FILTHY BA%TA$DS did to my G....

I love how the Infiniti Dealer always leaves me a few fasteners short whenever they pull off the shroud or the rear deck liner. Each time it rattles a bit more and is missing more and more fasteners..at some point I guess my car will look like the Griswolds about the time they hit the desert in AZ - picture luggage flying into the sand...

Jimmy,
You have really stumped me on this one. The pics at the top of this page, Number 2, are of MY sedan with the two GTSpec lower tie braces being installed, during and after.

I went to West Houston Infiniti during lunch and bought a bunch of the underbody engine cover screws. Since I am due for an oil change soon, I figure I might as well do it tonight, so I bought an oil filter as well. Then I stopped at O'Reilly Auto Parts and picked up 5 quarts of Mobil 1. I will post pics of how messy the oil change is with the new bar in place. Man! I hate to get that beautiful bar all oily.

Thanks for the preview. I am already second guessing myself. But your pics will tell the tale.

For the oil change, wrap the bar with a small piece of tin foil or something...

As for the Stillen Rear Strut Bar... they have one for the coupe, not a sedan... does that fit the sedans too?

OK, I lifted my baby up and discovered that THOSE FILTHY BAST*R$S did not attach the rear fastening screws on the main engine shroud. When I pulled out of the garage this morning it snagged my large flat oil pan and crumpled it into my radiator. Take a look at the damage what these AS* HOLES caused!

I removed the main cover, flattened it out and started the oil change. My 14 mm socket would not fit due to the GTSPEC bar, so I had to use my flat hand wrench. It was no problem taking it off. Oil got all over the bar. Take a look.

The mess was not too big! I was able to clean everything up pretty easily.
Those stinking loosers must have just turned the screws holding the cover on 1 or 2 turns, because I heard them fall off. I was missing 5 or 6 screws to the cover. Good thing I bought 8 new ones today!

The addition of the front bar does make the oil change a wee bit more difficult. But it is nothing to stop a good shade tree mechanic like myself! My impressions of the bars are...................
They make a big difference in handeling! I love them and am glad I bought them. Tomorrow I will drive our BBQ run, a famous twisty route thru Fort Bend County. It is a really fantastic twisty run at speeds up to 60-70. Tomorrows drive will tell the whole story. I will be back with details. I expect them to really good!

Will be anxious to read your impressions from this run... please note any ride-quality sacrifice (as a previous post questioned)... when I originally installed Stillen sways, I did notice stiffer ride as well as stiffer handling - I'm not sure I want to sacrifice any more of the "semi-luxury" for a more sporty feel. Great thread!
