Yeah, let this be a lesson to me. I got from a guy on here actually... don't want to flame him at all but yeah- my impression was that it was a simple bolt on package... I'm going to pick them up right now and my mistake was that this will be the first time I even look at them. I can be a bit overly trusting when it comes to stuff like this.

I'll be there overnight as far as I know and I happen to be the fastest wing eater this side of the 403 area code. I'm not sure if I'm what I would call a car guy but I'm sure my numerous mis-steps and mistakes will entertain all and sundry.

I'll see if I can figure out how to post pics on here... and it might be time then to get the guy who sold them to me involved and make sure if he's selling his product and not disclosing things that he adjust his approach.

I'll be in touch! I'll be at LSI Wed morning at some point- and Cam said it'd probably be the better part of a day or two. I have new wheels I still haven't put rubber on- they're 19s... as opposed to the 18s on right now. When you put camber arms and coilovers on, do they require a lot of adjustment when you increase your wheel sizes or is it pretty simple? Would a tire shop do those adjustments when you put new wheels on or do you have to do that yourself? Sorry for all the newb questions-

Update: Went to the shop and they had to re-prime the parts because of the porous nature of the fiberglass. I'm thinking I'll tell them to stop there because if I'm going to get them fitted properly... maybe I shouldn't be getting them to do the finished coat just yet? Not sure if they'll do that for me or not. The quality of the parts looks really good (in general) and I was somewhat relieved to see that it wasn't as bad as I was starting to think.

So once again back to the subject of this thread... I've heard of a place called "Import Adrenaline" that does that kind of work in Calgary... it was recommended by another shop that wouldn't do it. Anyone hear of these guys? I saw the guy in Blackfalds- but I'd like to keep that work a bit closer to home.

Ya Blackfaulds is a little far to travel for that kind of stuff, I would not get them painted until they are fitted if they are that bad. I wouldn't drive very far with out an alignment after getting the camber/toe arms if the toe is out your tires will wear very very quickly. The toe should be fine from one size of wheels to the next.

Thumbs up

Thanks again ... Cam is going to keep the car there for awhile and work on it as he can. There was a bit of a mixup on my part and I showed up early... so they have my car there. If you drop in, I won't be offended if you put your engine in mine... No really- consider it a favour... but you owe me.

So I got a rental car and came back to Okotoks... G-less. Have to say, that Dodge Caliber I drove was a piece of garbage. Maybe I'm just spoiled from driving the G but the thing was putrid on the road.

Went in and saw the bumper and sides again today and they were finished painting. To be honest, they looked better than I could have expected. VERY nice... wow! I'm not sure they'll be as hard to fit as they think- then again- who am I?! VERY slick... I'm excited to get em here and share some photos.

Good luck with you modding guys!

Speaking of which- how's that engine rebuild going?

We would have got the engine sealed up last night ....but beer and hot wings were to tempting so we might work on it tonight or likely friday. I didnt know your car was LR, Andrew35 was/is selling his aftermarket LR sideskirts and front bumper for cash + your OEM he should have a thread in the Canada section about it that would have been and easy swap.

If your car is done Friday hang around if you want I should be there working on my engine hopefully I can start mounting the accesorries by then.

I will not consider this without a trade for stock parts in Laser Red in good condition.

I also have a set of Volk GT-S rims with Toyo T1R tires that I will sell for $2800, only if the body kit sells. I will not sell the rims without selling the kit first. The tires have un-even wear from camber but if rotated should easily have 2 more years left in them.

Located in Red Deer, AB.

Smile

Yeah... I saw that one. The timing was off by a month- I had already ordered and had shipped an almost identical set.

Which has turned into the set that has subsequently been causing me grief.

I won't be able to head up there because I'm going back up to work for awhile and pretty much leaving it until I get back. Cam had some work he wanted to tinker with it for... what a great guy. I'd never met him before but he clearly cares about his customers and knows the deal.

I'm still kicking myself- that bumper set looks almost identical to the ones in the shop now. Frick...

You don't want that body kit

Don't need all these LR's running around looking the same.

^^ At least he'd be farther away from you than Red Deer. Speaking of Red Deer, are you thinking of coming down tomorrow night? If Gord's gonna be at LSI, I will probably zoom up there after supper, maybe around 7:00-8:00. Going to see a guy who lives near there about some tires, anyway.

No worries, I'm not in a rush. If it looks like it's not going to work out, just let me know, I can have him ship it.

Just as well, he may have objected to my swapping his coupe seats for my sedan units. Now he will never notice.

Good to see you guys and to say hi to Cam. Thanks to red for bringing down my parts and to Sylvan for almost bringing my plenum. j/k Gord, I'll probably be up again soon and we'll get it finished.

hey i need some advice on some headers and coilovers?
i have an 05 5AT coupe.. i have been reading about headers and future plans..
obviously i would love to turbo the car but since i paid and extra 3 grand for extended warranty im not planning to get it void for another few years..

i want to pick up some headers to complete my exhaust. are there any that you guys recommend? also i am trying to figure out what coil overs to get. I don't know if i wanna be spending a grand or more on the kit so are there any good ones that are around a grand?
