Well it helps a bit with the traction and the back end stepping out. Not perfect, but I appreciate the little extra it provides. I just have three bags of the gravel from home depot. I believe they are around 50lbs each.

If i were you I would switch vdc off the minute you get in the car. It WILL get you stuck on a hill, on/off ramp, parking entrance etc. Its the worst trac control in existance for snow/ice.

size help....
hey guys, im looking at buying winter tires/rims off a guy he is selling 1 month old winter tire/rim set (like new). I want to know before i commit and make an offer that this set will work fine on my car. He had them on a 06'
g35x and i want to use them on my 07' g35x, details: Vredestein winter tires 215/55/R17 on Eagle alloy rims. Rims have 2 bolt patterns that can fit many model of vehicles.
My 07' stock size 225/55r17 and will there be an issue going to a 215/55r17 size?
Price asking firm is $950.00 , he paid $1290.00 new
Thx Mark

They will spin a fragment faster and ground clearence would be less, but not enough to make a difference. Used tires are used tires though, doesn't seem like too good a discount. The Vredesteins are supposed to be a great ire though. I find people tend to think their tires are in a lot better shape than they are. Or at least try to make you think that. See them first.

gotta question...i got winter tires and rims given to me..but the guy that had them before me had them on a 06 g35 coupe without brembos..i have an 04 with brembos so as i went to put them on i noticed they dont fit..so instead of buying new rims i was thinking of just keeping my 25mm spacers through the winter..any suggestions?

I would use bags of kitty litter instead of the gravel...In case you do get stuck, you can use the the kitty litter as extra traction especially on ice!!!!
Try Petsmart stores for large bags.

Just make sure to coat both faces of the spacer with anti-seize.

I find gravel to be far better as a traction aid. Litter would be great if you ever leak anything though. Might as well mix a little salt in there too.
