Winter Tire Time ?

winter is the time when older Gs starts having issues with doors, batteries, and various stuff
my first little problem started after i washed my car (underground wash) i went to shell since my fuel light was on, and there it goes! the gas door doesnt open, went online on my iphone to the forum for solutions, end up manually opening the gas door with a plastic suit hanger was scary when its empty tank and its a saturday afternoon where none of the dealers are open.
seems like my solenoid(i dunno what it means lol) is having problems so it works one sec another it doesnt.for now i left it little bit open till i change the part.(underground garage gonna hope noone sees it)
add this to a list of parts i have to buy from the kijiji guy(passenger window motor, rear brake pads and rotors, spark plugs, all kinds of filters, ) i ve got to start saving for the spring

+11 here now and had a bit of rain earlier in the day. It's very windy though.
I just came across the MacKay bridge and traffic was very slow. There was a newer Acura TL stopped with a police vehicle parked in front in one oncoming lane. The Acura had a fiberglass flat truck bed cover with one strut bar through the windshield. It was like something in a movie, parallel to the hood right through the windshield into the passenger compartment to the front seats or beyond. There was only about 2-3 feet of the truck bed cover showing outside of the windshield. There was no Acura driver or truck at the scene so don't know what happened to the person, or why that came off the truck -possibly the wind. Hopefully the Acura driver was able to duck quickly and avoid injury. That must have been very scary driving and seeing that coming at you.

^I'm bummed I couldn't test them out!
From what I heard from friends at home, people were just stuck and stranded in the streets and the only people that were moving were in 4X4 SUVs and trucks.
Needless to say, I may have tested it out, but probably would have just ended up in our pickup driving around with the new Nitto Terra Grappler tires on that.

I can only imagine snow tires on a 4X4 truck. I would imagine that to be a lot of fun in the snow. How is the FX with the Blizzaks?

tried my micheline x-ice2s for the first time tonight to see how it perform on slush and icy roads. impressed with the performance, was first hesitant to push on gas but no drama, my slip light did not even come on once.
wanna try it on when more snow is on the road, but overall i think they are good tires.

Well looking at the snow happening already seems like this is gonna be one tough winter. im in downtown so we probably would get less snow than you guys and usually snow gets cleaned faster too.
im anxious to try when the soft snow is on the ground and plow some snow around
compared to my bald winters these michelines are day and night, and it wasnt that expensive too eventhough they are michelines.(840 for the whole set, including mounting)
im sure you are having a blast with the fx
