How to clean rubber weatherstriping
I bought a pre-owned black '07 G35X from the local Infiniti dealership who polished it just before I took delivery. They were sloppy in the polishing process and there is white residue all over the door weatherstriping. I've heard that products like Mother's "back to black" do more harm than good in the long run as they're solvent based and dry out the rubber. Any recommendations on what can effectively remove the polish residue from the rubber? Thanks in advance.

A good silicone spray is harmless to rubber and will clean and protect it long enough for your next wash or wax.
Spray onto a cloth and wipe it down.
