Ok hit the track tonight for the first time with this car with some surprising results given my current mods, here are the results:

4 runs total

worst time 14.029 @ 98.95 2.158 60ft.
best time 13.789 @ 99.91 2.088 60ft.

Other 2 runs were 13.8 and 13.9.

Track was Atco, NJ. temp 56, humidity 95 and boro 29.46

My car:
2004 G35 coupe 6mt.
Injen CAI, Borla TD, UR crank pulley, Stillen grounding kit, clear corners, Nismo shift ****, Axis 19" Milanos, Toyo T1s

I am happy with the times since I was just hoping to break into the 13's but I was looking for a bit higher mph. I used to street and track run a few cars back in my early 20s so I have some experience with racing street cars but haven't ran anything in about 8 years so I was a bit rusty.

On another note, I am looking at going for the crawford plenum and resonated test pipes to grab another 2 tenths and maybe a mph or 2 to get me over 100 (that really bothered me). Either that or go for a reflash. Any suggestions on where to go from here would be much appreciated.

I call BS. I wanna see time slips. Even then, I'd need proof they were yours...I'm sure I won't be the only one to post this. On 19's to boot!

on my VERY first run i did: 14.63 @ 93.92 and my 60' were 2.25 so i think for a first time that was great ... and it really didnt get a whole lot better than that later on but i simply don't think my stock '03 is capable of much more with original tires that have almost 30K miles on them.

so what do u guys did ... is this good or am i getting excited over nothin?

anyway GO BLUE !!!
GREAT job, blue. You are like the ultimate GF/wife!

I don't. Atco is a VERY quick track. Over at the 350Z site, there are stock auto 350Zs running 13.6@101mph out there. Even the 350Z drivers admit Atco tends to be .3 and 2mph faster than the other tracks in the area. Some of the quickest Maximas on Maxima.org race out there too.

Atco has good prep, sits at sea level, and when cool air comes through, usually the baro pressure is really high. All this equals a density altitude well below sea level.

Are you being serious about wanting to see my time slips? Not too sure what the benefit of making up some times would be, I was just trying to add my info to the site in case someone was interested.

I am not the most computer literate person in the world and do not have access to a scanner but I would be glad to fax all 4 of my timeslips over to ya if that would help. Although to be honest I am just trying to add something to the site for the benefit of others that may be interested. If I knew I was gunna be called a liar over it I wouldn't have bothered, at my stage in life I have much better ways to spend my time. In any case just to prove I'm no liar anyone can PM me a # and I'll fax all 4 slips over with the same car number on each slip. I'll be back in my office monday afternoon and can get them over then. Although from your post I don't think that will prove it to ya either.

I had a good time there I must say, there were 2 other G35C's there with me to chat with. A 2005 and a 2003, both had exhaust and intake and were 6spds. The best time the 2003 ran was a 14.1 with a 2.2 60ft and the 2005 ran a 14.2 with a 2.3 60ft. I thought the track had great traction for a street night but they had trouble launching. It looked like they were reving to 3K and droping the clutch while I found my best times by feathering the clutch all the way out. Overall it is a quick track though, almost as fast as Englishtown is I hear. Being close to sea level really makes a difference.

On another note I am looking for some more mph and am trying to decide between a crawford plenum and a set of test pipes. Any opinions?

How did you like that track? That place is due East of nowhere! You get off the highway, drive for 20 miles through farmland, and BAM! There's the track on your right.

I got my first 13 second slip there.....ahhhh, the memories. Were the wheel-standing Starlets and B210's there?

Nice times, BTW!!!

Thanks for the propps! I was pretty psyched myself...

Bradenton is soooo much better than Orlando Speedway! Its so easy to get a good hookup and it wasn't too crowded so I got to race a whole bunch of times.

I saw a couple of old imports with RX7 motors. Damn they're loud! But not alot of standups. The race i went to see was Titan vs APR. Its crazy how they run low 8 second 1/4 miles and they are still street legal.

I ran at the street warriors Kumho event at California dragway in Fontana. It was my first time with my Stillen stage 2. I ran on my 19's toyo t1-rs.275,35,19. Very tough to launch. Next time I will have my drag radials I ordered.

Based on:
Temp: 75°
Humidity: 63%
Track Altitude: 1121.27 feet
Pressure: 30.17 in.

Density Altitude = 2371 feet ET MPH
Uncorrected 13.560 @ 104.62
Corrected 13.19 @ 107.45

I had a 60' of 2.085
My best time at the same track with the same tires before Stillen was a 14.59.I have a 2004 6mt g35 coupe

Well I am SO glad to say that if we ever get our signatures back I will be able to change that damn 15.1 to something a bit more respectable.

Best 1/4 run thus far:
60' - 2.255
330 - 6.274
1/8 - 9.508 @ 74.67
1/4 - 14.623 @ 96.98

Now for those of you who have been doing this for quite some time I have a question. Below is the info on the slip from my best trap speed of the night. Note the crappy time that came with that speed compared to the best of the night time/speed. Anyone have any explanations as to why???

60' - 2.316
330 - 6.362
1/8 - 9.629 @ 75.05
1/4 - 14.790 @ 97.24

And for note the better time/lower speed came later in the night.

Told ya that colder air would make a big difference.

In the whole scheme of things, trap speed really doesn't vary much assuming you're not getting a horrendous 2.5+ 60'. ET is all about traction and MPH is about available power. I think you'll see that your VQ, MPHs will vary by less than 1mph assuming similiar 60 foot, shift points, engine temp, etc.
