Custom 3.5" (90mm) CAI in the works

This is also going to be part of the future intake for a custom single turbo kit and I have a long way to go before I can even start to piece that together and weld it. But good things come to those who wait.

I also just broke the the MAF when I got it out the car a few min ago so I need to buy another I had it in the car because I went by a shop to make an adapter for it but the aluminum plate I had was too thin to weld. My insurance expires next month on the 6th and I'll be saving $200 month by switching. So even if I broke the MAF that will make up for it x3.
How I broke the MAF housing.

So you need a new MAF sensor housing?

I have an extra one for sale. Not sure if it's heat baked or not, just an OEM housing.

The OEM housing is 2.75" or smaller. The housing I broke is 90mm 3.5" and it came off a V8 Q45

You know you can't just put a bigger MAF in the car, it needs to be re-scaled for that MAF.

I'll put in the sensor from my OEM housing in the 3.5" one. Should work.

not to rain on your parade but there are guys making big power on stock intake platforms... This is not a weak link compared to other areas.

That's an AEM dryflow filter.

The IC will also have a 3.5" inlet and outlet. Custom.

I dumped the MAF housing and went to a MAF flange for the sensor. Much more simple.

Great job designing and machining that adapter plate.

I don't understand what you're trying to do with it though. If you decided not to use the larger MAF housing, why do you need an adapter?

It looks like you're trying to space a larger MAF sensor out so that it is centered on a smaller tube. I just can't figure out why you would want to do that. Maybe you can program/reprogram that voltage range easier in this MAF sensor?

I guess you're opposed to MAP mode?

your throttle body is still the same size though, you are going to see minuscule gains if any. Not just that, but you would also have to upgrade your internals, ecu, injectors, etc. for the extra air it is recieving. this mod is a FAIL
