Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

Gordon,

I posted on the maxima board, trying to get confirmation
about our ground points on my 2000 Maxima. It appears
that no one there has hyper-gounded their Maximas!
Think I stirred up a hornets nest of interest. Got
replies from Electrical Engineers who say it a bunch of
BS and a bunch of Max owners wanting more information.
I referred them to this board for all the details and to our
FAQ&DIY section to find where they can obtain kits.
Strange that none admit to have grounded their Maximas,
isn't it?

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

Juiceman...Yea you was right...haha thought i blew a fuse or something...
just got back from ma test drive after installing Gords kit I would have to agree like everyone else the G got smoother through out the powerband....although the G is smooth like butter...
I would recomment Gords KIT great job dude!

One note: Becareful handling the Battery terminal the damn nut can cross-thread easily ...took me more time to get the damn nut off than installing the wires!

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

Just stumbled across this board as I am in the market for a G35 Coupe 6MT and saw this thread. Normally I dont "toot" my own horn, but if you guys are paying $4/ft CDN you need to come see me, I own www.knukonceptz.com I currently own a SVT Contour and frequently post on Contour.org If you guys need cable let me know.

I plan on being here for awhile once my car arrives

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

Great to hear. I will be getting his kit next onth. Trying to nrgotite with the dealer to instqll cheap. They have doneone before and they are checing on if the service dept would od an aftermarket one.

Reason for this is to prevnt problems with warranty issues. If they install aftermarket then it ishould be ok

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

The local dealers that I have contacted, including NIssan, Infiniti, Honda, Acura, and Subaru state that there should be no warranty issues, whether properly installed by the car owner or their own technicians. Shouldn't be a problem elsewhere I wouldn't think.

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

From Turbo & High Performance Magazine Oct. 2003, the newest issue, re their 'Project 200-WHP Integra':

<font color=green>"Next, we installed a set of ...Hyper Ground wires. Having had great luck with most of the vehicles we tested with the ground wires on, we knew these were a sure bet for making power."</font color=green>

Looks like they're believers in Hyper-Ground systems since their dyno tests in the spring. Not sure about the power increase, but it seems like we G owners are seeing some of the other benefits as well.

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

One of the G35Driver members had me make a full length wire which grounds directly to a point near the ECU, in addition to the basic 7-Wire set. The preliminary feedback sounds VERY promising, and when I get a chance, I'll try doing the same thing, bringing me up to 9-Wires. This is absolute cutting edge here folks. He'll drive for a few more days and post feedback here. Stay tuned!
