Cato:

I think it's official. You have the most 'grounded' G35 on the planet!
So, what have you noticed from your set-up so far?

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

I am continually amazed at how smooth it is.
The 3 extra wires that really count should be
so easy for you to add to your own setup.
#1) from washer neck to passenger strut
#2) from passenger fender next to battery to battery negative
#3) from brake booster fender to end of #6
My 4th extra was just to use another wire!
I don't see how grounding directly to the ECU
could improve upon what I already have. I bet
I got the ECU with one of the above extra wires.

Another angle, notice my #12 wire from
the fender beside the battery directly
to battery negative.

GroundingGear™, One G35, Two Reviews:

I did a kit for the G35 of a friend of Carl, the senior service advisor of the local Infiniti. The techs there did the install.

The owner reported he noticed an improvement in the smoothness of the engine and slightly better shifting. Over all, he was quite happy.

<font color=blue>Carl: "I finally got a chance to drive (his) car. Well, Holy Jeesus! I honestly didn't notice much when I drove in stop and go traffic. Maybe a little smoother. But then I got to open it up! Man, what a difference! I get to drive a lot of the customer's cars here, as well as the loaner G35s. I've been recommending GroundingGear™ to some of the customers. Now I'm glad I got a chance to see what a difference it makes! Can you do my truck?"</font color=blue>

It's interesting the difference in perception regarding the same car. I actually thought that the owner would notice more difference than Carl.

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

Well, just did my first high-end German car today- the GM's A6 of the local Audi Dealer. He's convinced that German cars, especially at the upper end, are so 'over-engineered' that there is absolutely NO WAY the Hyper-Ground System would work, and he's doing this 'on a lark' and to prove his belief!
After looking under the hood of the A6, and especially the M3, I'm almost ready to concede! Some of the engineering under there looks down-right scarey, and the ground points are a real challenge to access and determine! I'm actually afraid to get feedback that GroundingGear™ won't work for these types of applications!

Oh well. I'll wait for his impressions. Can you guys spot the Smoke coloured H-G wires?

Guys, I got so excited about grounding this beast, I figured the maximum grounding job would be to fill the engine compartment with liquid metal! Check it out!

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

Got some preliminary feedback when I delivered Keith's A6. Got in the car with him for a short drive. He again repeated that he didn't think the GroundingGear™ would do anything, and that he's very familiar with his car, so he'll notice any differences right away.

As he started the car, he slowly backed out. He had a surprised look on his face, but didn't say anything. We went for a short drive around the roads surrounding the dealership, and he played with the shifting and the throttle a bit. He then turned to me and said, "I think we have a success!" Odd statement I thought. As we parked the car, he noted the tach.

Back in his office, he said he was quite surprised with the difference. He said the tach was definitely more stable at idle, the engine was smoother, and the throttle more responsive. (Basically everything we've heard before on this thread). Ron, one of the sales ppl (and a real car enthusiast) came in and heard some of the feedback. He couldn't believe it. Basically insulted Japanese cars by saying he might believe that Hyper-Grounding would make a difference in a Honda, Nissan, or Toyota, but NOT a German car like the A6! Keith then said, "I couldn't believe it either, but I know my car, and it made a big difference!"

He promises to give the A6 a workout and tell me further impressions on Monday. But it looks like Hyper-Grounding can even work on a 'Highly Engineered German Automobile!' Can't wait to try GroundingGear™ on an M3!

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

Just spoke with Keith again today. He hasn't noticed anything other than on the initial impressions. Admitted that it worked though. Told me to go talk with a couple of the staff about doing their VWs.
I spoke with 2 salesmen that upon hearing that Keith noticed the difference, they immediately wanted me to do their VR6 equipped VWs! Said that if Keith noticed the difference, it was significant! "He's the biggest skeptic that ever lived! He gives anyone who does mods a hard time. You know he just wanted to tell you that it didn't work don't you?"

Re: Hyper-Ground (Earthing) Kit Resource Thread

Re: Audi A6 - 'Highly Engineered' might have to be qualified. I recently saw a survey that showed automotive electronic control systems as a problem area for German manufacturers while Japanese manufacturers lead in this area. If the grounding fails to offer any improvements for the Audi, one could counter the skeptics by saying that grounding improvements may only be evident in more sophisticated, precision systems.
