I hate to be the one to say as usual you are wrong(if anybody wants to see proof check my350z).Back in the early days of fi the ati procharger and the greddy twins blew up just about everything......all because they did not have any timing control. That was the only reason i went with the stillen s/c back in mid 2003 as it was the safest fi out.
This problem seems more like a tuning issue as the rpms where it looks like the tuning stopped is the culprit.
The vortechs problem was with a bad batch of bearings that vortech got from there supplier........and it did not cause engine failure.Vortech has been very good with replaceing all the defective units or rebuilding them.

Lawdyu as has been said on tons of threads on my350z please try and know of what you are talking about because there are a lot of us that are on both forums.

I will not debate with you further because i and many others know of some of your bs.

the procharger is a very reliable kit, as long as you get it tuned right I'm still questioning big time g35man04's 380 whp at 5500 rpm...

It could have been worse.. This is Billy's last block.

It blew due to a clogged injector. The datalogs showed severe lean conditions at 8500rpm and this is the result from it..

The starting issue is definitely an issue with the UTEC. I have the HKS FCon iS with 550cc injectors and I don't have these starting issues.

g35man04-Really sorry to hear about your engine going. But there is definitely more to this story. Like some others have said, I'm suspecting something was up with your tune. 380whp @ 5500rpm is definitely not conservative. If anything, that's way aggressive.

i completely understand.... and we don't mean to hassle you with all the questions, but i'm sure we're all curious to get to the bottom of the issue (since most of us here are FI and want to prevent this from happening). any more info you gather over the next few days/weeks is greatly appreciated, so we can paint a clear picture of what went down...

so yes, it's a terrible loss, but at least we can all learn from it.

I am also curious if my oil pump failed and caused this to happen....My oil pressure has been fluctuating when idling down to almost 2 or 3 on my Defi Oil Pressure Gauge...

Well I really do hope you get some answers even if it is not the ones you want to hear.

I also understand your decision to go back to stock, I have been through this before twice now on my other vehicle.

Naw man, get a new motor, slap your procharger back on, get a right tune, and possibly a built engine, then you're cool You don't have to go back to stock man, but hey its up to you bro.

That's a pretty good deal. Before buying it, I'd still have a qualified person to check it out and look it over.
