I do have an 05. Yes...raising the idle will fix it b/c the sound goes away as soon as you tap the gas. But...I did the L-spec and avoided the F-spec b/c I didn't want anyone messing with the fuel or timing maps (outside of the the SS box). If they can easily raise the idle...then maybe I'll do that. I have to figure something out.

ya, call Brian at TS and he can upgrade your L-spec to the F-spec for a cheaper price. I really want to know if this option is worth it.

I have to admit, I've been able to quiet it down alot but it still does exists at the low idle. Unfortunatly, having an early '03 I here raising the idle isn't an option. I would be nice if Vortech did address this issue

'03's can raise the idle. If you production is later than 10/03, then you can't. I'm pretty sure this is correct.

Dan is right. The early builds can raise the idle. It's the newer guys that can't do it. (they can do it by tinkering with the timing but eventually it returns back to low idle)

Is this something anyone can adjust or does it need to be reprogramed thru the ECU?

Well I guess it's as quiet as it's going to get... At least until I need to see the dealer for something else, especially if it resets itself.

I was referring to non-ECU reflashes. On post 10/03 models, the dealer can only tinker with the timing. TS can pretty do anything they want with your fuel/timing maps.
