Gas Gauge WEIRDNESS !
I lost a screw on the passenger side...
what I did was to screw them down across from each other.. like wheels...
and made sure it was sitting evenly. Mine was not leaking though when filling. still with a screw missing

Update: put more screws in after adjusting fuel pump and tightened all the way crook it to a gas station and filled up fine! No leaks! (before I lost a gallon or do before I could stop it). Sad news is my tank still reads almost a notch below full.
Did mine this week, super happy that my gas reads more accurately and goes to full now.
Hardest part was getting the seats out for me.
The easiest way is to take both hands in the middle of one side and pull up as hard as you possibly can.
The metal rod may feel that it is bending, that's fine it will eventually give and you can bend the metal back after. Slide the seat out and start taking out bolts.
The little circuit board looking thing just needs to be cleaned with a Q-Tip for a couple minutes until the Q-Tip rubs clean.
On the fuel pump side my gasket was slightly stretched and did not want to seat back in properly.
I should have gotten a new one but I managed to squeeze it in to get a flush fit. Less then an hour of work for a properly working gas gauge definitely worth it.

Did this last weekend but it seems like my fuel gauge now stays on the half mark. It moves a little below but then goes bak to half full again. The passenger side seemed like the floater was hitting something when I put it back in and screwed it down. Is it possible that it got caught on something? I havnt tried filling up yet either.
Yup. Same thing with mine. It worked in the beginning and now its worse than before. Its because one or both of your sending units are dead or near dead. Check the voltage. Mines an 03, so they told me its about time to replace both anyways. If you talk to the dealers nicely enough, they can sell you the assembly for passenger (since you dont need fuel pump) and the drivers side sender for like $160ish total.
I'm having an issue, not sure if it's the same. I bought my car a few weeks ago, and just filled up for the first time yeterday. My tank was reading about 1/4 tank when I ran out of gas on the freeway. MDOT threw a gallon in for me and I drove to a gas station and put another 19 in. A fun experience. Mine reads way above full for about 40 miles still. And never reads emtpy, which left me stranded. I'll try cleaning it, but I'm not so sure it's the same issue. Anyone having the same problem I am?
Sadly, this G is getting less MPGs than the 2011 Camaro I put a few hundred very fun miles on a few weekends ago. And the G has 150 less horses. I thought I was getting decent milage when I had a 1/4 tank left and had driven 300 fun miles.

Just clean both of them...
i had a similar problem in my 03 maxima and i replace the float and nothing i had to replace the cluster and no problem. in my 05 sedan i was gently taping the top of the cluster and the needle seemed to move to correct location.can it be that the cluster migh need replacing?
